igh Intensity Discharge (HID) is the brightest lighting you can put on a motorcycle. It’s the same lighting technology off-road racers, like those guys racing the Baja for instance, wouldn’t leave the starting line without.      HID lighting is a whole new ballgame. It uses an ignitor ballast (it’s right inside those aluminum housings) to deliver 900-plus Volts to an arch tube in the reflector. Light is emitted from an arc of electricity rather than a filament. The benefit is ultra-high output with low-amp draw.
