he need to custom-tune a Harley’s fuel injection is well known. Optimizing fuel delivery makes stock bikes run better and if any modifications are on-board–like a new exhaust system–adjusting the fuel management isn’t just nice, it’s mandatory. The Twin Tuner makes that job easy.
The Twin Tuner lets you adjust the fuel injection to match the specific requirements of a specific bike. There are some pretty powerful tuning options here, too. Adjustments can be quick and simple, or they can be as precise and advanced as you care to make them. The Twin Tuner lets you make that call. With a 10-position mode switch and a series of up/down pushbuttons you can quickly make fuel-trim adjustments in the RPM and throttle position ranges required by most applications. The values will be displayed on a bright, daylight-readable LED display. Or you can use the optional USB Interface and PC Link Tuner software and make those fuel adjustments ultra-precise throughout the RPM range. The Twin Tuner’s software even uses the same RPM rows and throttle position columns as the Dynojet Power Commander. If you’ve previously created some Dynojet Power Commander files for your applications you can enter those same values into the Twin Tuner tables. You can even make independent adjustments to the front and rear cylinders.
And all of this is easily installed. There’s no splicing, cutting, crimping, or bulky interconnections to hide. Getting the Twin Tuner in place and operating is a 15-minute job at most, requiring no special tools. All connections are made right at the stock Delphi® ECM and the Twin Tuner’s low profile makes mounting easy. The unit is completely encapsulated and impervious to moisture, too.
Daytona Twin-Tec’s Twin Tuner is in stock now. It works with all 2001-2008 Twin Cam models with the 36-pin Delphi® ECM. You can even use it on the 2006-2008 bikes without eliminating the stock oxygen sensors. Special versions are available for Buell® models with DDFI and DDFI II, as well, but the Twin Tuner is not compatible with 2008 touring bikes with electronic throttle control or Sportsters.
Fuel injection tuning is here to stay. Getting the right tools to do the job makes good sense. Call your Drag Specialties rep today for more info. |
