his season Samson has something for everyone–even the “noise police.” Every one of these newest Samsons delivers that same Samson style and performance riders have come to know and love for decades–and do it with a sound that’s 2008 regulation friendly. Samson has even gained the thumbs-up from one of the toughest regulatory groups around, the California Air Resources Board (CARB).      Samson’s ‘08 exhausts are approved to sell and install as OEM direct-replacements on the newest 2007 and 2008 bikes. None of this has in any way diluted that signature Samson cool factor, either. Every one of these 21st century pipes are as good as ever–make that better than ever.
Take a look at the new Legend Series. More than just CARB-approved, these pipes are custom approved. Every one of these pipes comes with a show-quality finish exclusive to Samson. It’s a “Quad Chrome” plating process that’ll have rider’s eyes popping. Quad Chrome provides fantastic adhesion, corrosion protection and a durable, long-lasting shine. Every Legend Series pipe is a two-step high performance design, too. It’s tuned to produce some real horsepower, torque and deliver all of that with an awesomely Samson–and perfectly legal–sound. Every system is a direct bolt-on right out of the box and, of course, includes all the necessary 02 sensor ports and plugs.
And these pipes are built tough. Everything is made with top-quality/high-grade mild steel, a material that’s great for manufacturing because it allows smooth, kink-free forming. It’s actually stronger than the more commonly used 1010 grade steel, too, and not as brittle. On top of all that there are removable full-coverage heat shields and inside there are removable baffles specially designed to enhance the lows for a deep rumble and eliminate the ear-piercing high-pitch frequencies. The big, 2 1/2-inch look is here and, of course, so is that four-stage “Quad Chrome” finish.
Samson has the “black out” look, too. It’s available in the “Sinister Black Line,” and just as with that Quad Chrome Samson has gone the extra mile to give riders a great look that lasts. The prep work for this new ceramic coating is pretty special.      Everything gets polished and carefully inspected before receiving an acid wash that’s followed with a phosphate dip to etch the steel and give that ceramic coating a much better “tooth” to adhere to. This isn’t just a sprayed-on finish. Samson’s Sinister Black Line is as dynamic and long-lasting a black finish as you’ll find. This semi-flat black high temp ceramic provides corrosion protection up to 2,600 degrees F. and the systems radiate as much as 300 degrees F. less heat, keeping that heat inside the head pipes where it’ll do the most good, performance-wise.
Those are some of the features and benefits. Now check out the Samson styles and the many applications. There are Legend Series Boloney Cuts, Longhorns, Cannons, Renegades, Rip Saws, Shorties, Sidewinders and Slashers and in that blacked-out Sinister Legend lineup there are Rip Saws, Shorties, Slashers and Street Sweepers and there’s even a True Dual system in ceramic black with 2 1/4-inch heat shields and 4-inch mufflers. There are pipes for Softails, Dynas, Sportsters and the FLs and they’re all priced right and always in-stock. And they’re all Samson, a name riders know and a pipe that sells. Drag Specialties has them all.
