lipstreamer has been at it a while. Located in Minnesota, they’ve been making those acrylic windshields since way back in 1973. In fact, it was Slipstreamer that first brought acrylic windshields to the motorcycle market. To say that these guys know what Harley riders want and need from a windshield is, well…look to all those years of history for the answer. The 2008 FatBook is filled with Slipstreamer, too. There’s everything in there from replacement Harley-Davidson windshields to Classics to Mini-Police styles to Spitfires, Vipers and Tombstones–all tough acrylic and coming in sizes, heights, widths, clears and tints to suit just about every taste. And this season there’s something more: It’s the brand-new Slipstreamer “Billet Series,” a universal-mount, interchangeable shield, fully adjustable windshield/hardware package and it’s the absolute definition of “one size fits all.”      Riders are going to love the Billet Series for what it is and what it offers and you’ll love it because the stocking is so easy.
Start with the mounting hardware. It’s all mirror polished, chrome plated billet aluminum and it’s truly a “universal” mount. One bracket fits both 7/8-inch and 1-inch bars on virtually any motorcycle. As long as there’s not a speedometer up on that handlebar the Slipstreamer Billet Series will fit. Perfectly. That hardware is completely adjustable, too. The design allows for movement of the shield up or down, the hardware itself mounts left and right as well allowing for rotational movement for a clean and easy fit anywhere along the handlebars. And that’s just the beginning of the “universal” appeal here. There’s the windshields themselves.
Any of the new Slipstreamer Billet Series windshields–and there are plenty to choose from–fit the same mounting bracket. One hardware kit matched with a plethora of windshield options means riders can change and swap their windshields as they please and as conditions dictate. Hot summer riding? Snap on the new 15-inch Bullet. When the riding gets colder or the trips longer, snap-snap, the B-Wing 18-inch model goes right in place for more protection. This has to be the most attractive, easiest to use, most functionally sound and rider-friendly windshield/hardware system Slipstreamer’s ever introduced. And being in business since 1973; that’s really saying something.
Stock in the new Slipstreamer Billet Series and you’ll have the right windshield in the right size and in the right shape for just about every motorcycle on the road, new and old. Just one hardware kit fits them all and with four different windshields to match that hardware you’ll have the market totally covered. The smaller, streamlined Bullet comes in 15-inch and 18-inch heights and for more coverage and protection there’s the wider B-Wing, also offered in those 15-inch and 18-inch sizes. They all snap right onto the same mounting hardware, the changeover from one to the other taking just seconds. Chances are riders will end up wanting one of each style, or maybe even all four. It’s all in the FatBook right now, the mounting hardware and the windshields.      Don’t leave it there. With all these features–the universal mount, the almost total adjustability, the interchangeability between all those windshield sizes and styles–Slipstreamer’s new Billet Series is something you’ll want in stock. And that stocking is so easy. Just call your Drag Specialties rep.
