f you’re not stocking Kuryakyn’s Lizard Maximus Starter Kit, the Grantour Bag, ISO Grips and the Adjustable Passenger Pegs you’re missing out on some easy sales. Those four items repeatedly lead the pack at Kuryakyn, and with everything this company has to offer, that’s saying something.
Start with that Grantour Bag. Really consider keeping this one around. Last year the Grantour moved from number 8 in sales right up to number 3. To say the least, this a rider’s popular pick. It’s an ideal bag for a short tour or a quick overnight trip and it’s great for day-to-day use, too. The Grantour mounts just about anywhere and to almost anything; it’ll go on luggage racks, sissy bars or even on the passenger seat. The Grantour is semi-rigid so it holds its shape and always looks good and as a bonus it’ll provide some nice lumbar support when mounted right behind the rider. There’s plenty of storage space here, too, all easily accessible with large zipper pulls that are glove friendly, there’s a retractable locking device to keep things secure and the Grantour is tough. The construction is weather-resistant Cordura® and leather and a rain cover is included. All of this–coming at a price that’s right–puts the Grantour Bag right up there in the Kuryakyn Top Four.
There are a couple other top sellers in that Kuryakyn “Gran” lineup, too. The Mini Grantour is a motorcycle bag and backpack in one; the Mini unzips from its mounting pad and comes right along with you. It’s handy and it’s tough. The Mini Grantour is all 1200-denier nylon with leather accents and you even get a rain cover. The new Grantraveler Bag is another. There’s maximum cargo space here with the flexibility of an expandable top and removable inner bottom pad, and there are removable end bags on each side. It’s all 1200-denier construction with leather accents and off the bike there are shoulder/waist straps for easy carrying and to make things even easier the Grantour has a pullout handle and wheels. This one’s brand-new so check it out.
Right along with those bags Kuryakyn’s Lizard Maximus Starter Kit always keep sales hopping. Lots of riders like the show-stopping look of those Lizard Lights to highlight their bike and the Maximus Kit gets them going with everything they need. The Maximus Starter Kit comes with eight Seven Color Lizard Lights, a controller, four “Y” connectors, four double male connectors, six double female connectors, six 9-inch extensions, two 12-inch extensions, alcohol pads, dielectric grease, cable ties, and an assortment of spare adhesive pads. Everything. Those Lizard Lights will put on quite a show, too. They’re low-draw LEDs and can be set for single-color steady illumination, single-color flashing at variable rates and the Kuryakyn “paint mode” with all the lights, in unison, continuously fading into and out of each of the seven colors (red, lime, ice blue, sky blue, dark blue, purple and green). It’s a light show for sure, and it’s right up there in that Kuryakyn Top Four.
Take a look at Kuryakyn’s Adjustable Passenger Pegs, too. Here’s another top-seller. These kits provide passengers the option of moving their feet up or down and when the rider has his feet on the highway pegs that passenger can really stretch out and lay their calves on the footrests. Passengers and riders alike love the flexibility here. A bolt-action locking device adds one more intermediate position to make hours in the passenger seat lots more comfortable and a revised mounting system allows easy installation and an improved fit on newer bikes. The Adjustable Passenger Pegs won’t interfere with footboard operation and they work perfectly with stock Harley passenger boards or Kuryakyn’s own ISO-Passenger Boards.
And speaking ISO, Kuryakyn’s ISO Grips are right up in that Top Four, too. Beautifully styled and supremely comfortable, they’re a perfect match to the popular ISO-Pegs. They nicely dampen handlebar vibration and provide a sure, cushioned feel for long haul comfort. Because of their unique and removable end caps this is one of the only custom grips available that can be used with stock air-reservoir type handlebars, too. The ISO Grips come with a choice of accent-color choices, too: chrome, red, blue or black. The ISO Grips are consistently top sellers.
Don’t limit yourself to just those Top Four from Kuryakyn, either. There’s a lot more here worth talking about, and definitely worth selling. Take a look at the new FatBook and check out everything Kuryakyn’s got in there. But pay special attention to that Top Four, the Lizard Maximus Starter Kit, the Grantour Bag, Kuryakyn’s ISO Grips and the Adjustable Passenger Pegs. Miss out on them and you’re missing out on some easy sales. It’s all in stock at Drag Specialties.
