he list of “firsts” from Scorpio Alarms cements this company as a leader in motorcycle security. Scorpio was first with Dual-Axis Digital Impact and Inclination Sensing, the first with 2-way FM Data Transmission between the motorcycle and its owner, first to encapsulate, pot and waterproof the entire security system making it stronger, rugged and able to withstand just about anything. And Scorpio has just done it again. The new SR-i900R System, available in February, is the next generation in Two-Way FM Security.
The SR-i900R offers hands-free RFID Technology. This system automatically arms or disarms itself, and that’s just the beginning of the feature list. The new SR-i900R takes motorcycle security to the next level. With hands-free RFID Technology you simply walk towards the bike or away from it and the SR-i900’s remote transceiver automatically communicates with the hardware on the bike to arm or disarm the system. It’s that easy. This auto arm/disarm feature is foolproof, too.      There’s no forgetting to set the security system or disable it. It all happens automatically. The system senses when the remote transceiver is nearby and communicates via RFID bandwidth to either arm or disarm the security without having to physically press any buttons. That transceiver is programmable, too. It’s able to be switched between auto or manual arming and disarming should you please.
The SR-i900 throws a real blanket of protection over the motorcycle, too. There’s a Dual-Axis Accelerometer for detecting the slightest bump, impact or change in inclination. If anyone so much as touches a bike protected with the SR-i900 you’ll know about it. There’s a Programmable Perimeter-Sensor with an audible “warn away” to detect motion around the bike to protect the saddlebags, luggage and accessories from unwanted attention. There’s a built-in 120 dB Multi-tone Siren with a corresponding soft chirp and audible/vibrating alert on the transceiver to let you know when something’s amiss and the SR-i900 has an Ignition Disable feature allowing remote engine cut-off in case of hijack. There’s a Remote Finder/Panic Alarm on the transceiver, a Sensor Violation Display and the SR-i900’s remote transceiver can monitor all of this from up to a half-mile away. There’s even a Built-in Battery Backup to keep the pager working if wires are cut or otherwise circumvented. All this comes in a Main Control Module measuring just 3 11/16-in. x 2 3/4-inch x 7/8-inch and it’s an easy installation. Scorpio has optional Factory Connector Installation Kits, too, allowing the new SR-i900 system to be plug-and-play integrated right into the OEM style harness without any wire cutting or splicing.
Scorpio Alarms has set the motorcycle-security standard since 1989. Everything Scorpio makes is manufactured and certified to exceed OE standards. The manufacturing facility itself is ISO9001 certified. This is top-of-the-line tech and it’s all built with riders in mind. Every designer and product engineer at Scorpio is a rider himself. What these guys make always meets the needs of real-world motorcyclists.      The hands-free SR-i900 RFID Two-Way FM Transceiver Controlled Security System is the latest from the company that’s Number 1 in the field. It’ll be available this February through Parts Unlimited.
