     Every seat is made in the United States by true craftsmen who take pride in transforming the highest quality, raw materials into a finished product–all under one roof in Mustang’s New England facility.
     Mustang’s baseplates are carefully designed to align the spine and place the driver at the proper riding angle, thereby relieving back stress. Seat base-plates for Metric Cruiser models are made of 3/16-in. thick, marine-grade fiberglass finished in high gloss gel coat.
     Of course, the most important component of seat comfort is the foam–both the quality of the foam itself and the shape of the mold. With over 27 years of experience, Mustang uses only the very best controlled-density, polyurethane foam for all-day comfort.
     Mustang’s high quality foam usually feels firmer than stock but is less firm than other aftermarket seats. There is no “break-in” period. The foam will compress enough to mold itself to the rider’s body shape within about 15 minutes of riding time–every time he rides. The first ride will be equal to the 100th.
     The covers on all seats are designed, cut and individually sewn. Covers are made of the highest quality expanded vinyl available. They have the appearance of leather but the durability and resistance to the elements that exceed original equipment standards for motorcycle seats.
     The more you ride (and the older we all get), the more you realize that “the most comfortable seat possible” means comfort for your back as well as for your bottom. Nothing takes the fatigue out of riding more than having full back support and being able to effortlessly adjust your lumbar support frequently. Whether sitting in your living room, car or on your motorcycle, your back deserves the best support possible.
Mustang’s fully adjustable, contoured driver backrests are designed and manufactured to the highest standards. Not only do they pivot to match the angle of your back and easily adjust forward and back, but there are also four “snap-in-place” height adjustment positions. Additionally, the backrest is easily removed without tools and it folds flat for mounting the bike.
