oose Racing has a ton of new products for 2008. Moose Racing has long been a leading choice for great gear, accessories and hard parts for all your off-road and motocross customers. For 2008 Moose Racing is upping the ante with new products conceived, tested and produced by some of the biggest legends in off-road racing.
Moose by ZipTy is new for 2008 with must-have products like Chain Adjuster Kits. Chain Adjuster Blocks by ZipTy are constructed of billet aluminum CNC with laser etched adjustment marks. These blocks stay in position when the wheel is removed for easy and quick installation and there is no secondary lock nut for chain adjustment. Kits include axle pull for easy axle removal and axle pointer for easy installation and KTM kits include a rear axle. Moose by ZipTy products are legendary and developed for and used by ZipTy Racing made in the USA. Prices range from $98.95 to $153.95.
Moose Magnetic Oil Filter Covers by ZipTy are more than cosmetic and add more than a factory look to your 4-stroke. The sturdy CNC’d billet oil filter cover is anodized bright red with an ultra powerful rare earth magnet inside which catches damaging particles your filter misses. Made in the USA, prices range from $69.95 to $106.95 depending on make and model of the machine.
The Moose Magnetic Float Bowl Drain Plug by ZipTy is another very cool product. Dirt, dust and other particles enter your fuel supply from open carb vents and dusty fill ups. The rare earth magnet in this drain plug catches more debris than you would think and helps keep your engine cleaner. It fits Keihin Carburetors 2 and 4-stroke with drain plug size M18x1.0. And it looks good too, with red anodized billet aluminum construction with the magnet pressed in. Made in the USA and available for just $22.95.
The Moose Fuel Mixture Screw by ZipTy was invented to be an easy adjust fuel screw with 7075 T7 aluminum construction and re-designed pin taper that set this screw apart from the competition. This product allows you to adjust your carb for better off-idle acceleration with just your fingers. It includes an o-ring, washer and heavy duty spring, and the Fuel Mixture Screw fits Keihin FCR carbs on modern dirt-bikes. Made in the USA with a suggested retail of just $24.95.
Another great product from Moose Racing is the Subtank Handlebar, a whole different animal and a completely new idea to enhance your suspension. The Handlebar Subtank uses the air space within your handlebar to add air volume to your front suspension. The ends of the bar are plugged (Moose left room for hand-guard or bar end inserts) and there is an adjustable clicker valve attached to hoses which connect to your forks. The valve controls the air flow from fork to handlebar. The science is simple, by adding more air volume to your forks; you can achieve a plusher ride. On small bumps your fork will respond as if it has a low oil level resulting in a plusher ride, better traction, and improved turning ability. Over big jumps, your bike will react as if it has a higher oil level, retaining your original bottoming resistance. There is no drilling or tapping required and it is adjustable on the fly. This product received 5 stars from Motocross Action magazine and was Product of the Year-Runner Up in Dirt Rider magazine in 2007.
This is an easy sell on the features and benefits because the Handlebar Subtank adds more air volume to your fork for a plush ride, eliminates the extra weight and complication of bolt-on subtanks, and retains fork’s OEM resistance to bottoming out. It also allows the fork to ride mid-stroke for better cornering and increases plush-ness over small bumps reducing arm pump. The clicker valve allows on the fly adjustment of air flow from forks to handlebars and a built in pressure relief valve allows easy air bleed. This is a US Patented product 7.284.766, developed and tested in the USA.
There are a few factors that go into selecting the correct Subtank Handlebar for your bike. These are questions you’ll need to ask your customers to ensure they get the correct bar and the best performance. Are the clamps for a 7/8-in. or oversize bar? Choice of CR High, CR Low, or XC woods bends? Does your customer have a steering stabilizer? And of course, what make, model, and year is your bike? Once you know the answers to those questions, you can build your system in 2 steps: 1) Pick your handlebar, pick your bend and choose a bar for use with or without a steering stabilizer. 2) Pick your hoses based on your bike model and whether you use a steering stabilizer. All variations are ready and in stock now from Moose.
The Shock Seal Head Kit offers complete assemblies, ready to install into the shock body made from 6061-T6 aluminum. Kit includes: aluminum body, dust seal, bushing, oil seal, O-ring, internal guide bushing/washer, snap ring, and top out bumper. Made in the USA for $37.95 to $42.95.
