egend Air is no newcomer. Legend’s Air Ride Systems are well known throughout the motorcycle world; their height adjustability is almost mandatory on a custom. Touring riders have flocked to the systems, too, installing them for the smooth ride and extra load-carry capacity they offer. Developed by Jesse Jurrens back in 1997, the Legend Air Ride Systems are tough, easily installed, beautifully crafted and they all incorporate genuine Gates Rubber Company air springs custom made by Gates to Legend’s specifications. All of this is available to the off-road market, too.
With a Legend Off-Road Suspension under it a UTV becomes a real utility vehicle. It’s able to take on any job and carry almost any payload and do it without fuss, bother or complaint. The air ride system offers significantly increased wheel travel with an equally increased suspension articulation and load-carrying capacity. And there’s no bottoming out. A Legend Air System increases the overall ride quality and load carrying capacity exponentially. But it’s that ride-height adjustment feature that can’t be overstressed. How many times have you seen a customer have to chop down the roll cage on a UTV to get it low enough to fit in his trailer? That’ll never happen with a Legend Air System installed; push a button and the whole machine drops right down to slide into the tightest spot. This feature alone makes the system worth the purchase.
The benefits to a Legend Air System aren’t limited to just that pump up/pump down feature, though. These Off-Road Suspensions make a UTV lots more comfortable overall and loaded down or empty that UTV becomes smoother and more responsive. That push-button height adjustability will come in handy more often than just at load-in time, too. The UTV’s ride height can be raised up for extra ground clearance when it’s needed, and it all happens at the touch of a button. Legend Air spent considerable time getting all this right. These off-road air-ride suspension conversions were four years in the making. The kits include everything needed, from the four individually adjustable suspension units to the on-board compressor, the wiring, all the lines and all the switches. Patent pending Mono-tube shocks feature Deflective Disc damping and the shock bodies themselves are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a corrosion resistant finish. Inside there are strong 1 3/8-inch pistons attached to 1/2-inch diameter stainless steel rods and all that’s matched with those Legend Air/Gates Rubber Kevlar-reinforced air springs that were specially designed and developed to keep their prescribed OD throughout their travel and no matter what the inflation rate or pressure. All required mounting hardware is included, nothing’s missing, and installation is easy.
With applications for the Yamahas, Arctic Cats, Polaris and the new Polaris RZR all of those machines get on a whole new level of utility with a Legend Air System installed.      And that same Air Ride System that does such a good job tackling the toughest hills does an equally good job for the farmer, the fisherman, the hunter and even the guy using his Side-by-Side UTV at his business to haul cargo from here to there. And everyone will love it when it comes time to put that UTV in its trailer. All it takes is the flip of a switch to make it fit.
