MF likes to stay on the leading edge of performance for all their products, dealers and customers. The new 2008 FMF catalogs will be ready in February for the Indy Show. This is just a preview of the great new products and best-selling returning products you can expect from FMF.
New for 2008 is the FMF Power Programmer for fuel-injected off-road motorcycles and ATVs. The Power Programmer is already in stock through Parts Unlimited. The Power Programmer allows you to perfectly tune your fuel-injected machine to a new FMF exhaust system or Slip-on muffler. Also new in 2008 is the full line of FMF Roost Guards and Mashers. These are just a few products that FMF is transitioning over from their successful line of 909 products into FMF branded items that will continue through 2008.
FMF is an extremely versatile company that designs, creates, manufactures, and markets across numerous disciplines beyond motocross and off-road. In fact, FMF is one of the industry leaders in ATV exhaust systems for 4-stroke, 2-stroke and mini moto ATVs. The Q4 for example, has been developed over years of championship off-road racing. With a twin stage core design for lower sound output and extended life of packing material this system is fast becoming a high performance best seller. More good news with the Q4 is that it comes standard with a spark arrestor to help keep your customers quiet, safe and legal in their favorite off-road riding area or OHV Park. The Powerline is another ATV exhaust system that is fast becoming a favorite with the hunting, fishing and utility set. The objective of the Powerline is a durable and reliable mechanical muffler to withstand the harshest conditions an ATV could travel. FMF delivers with the Powerline. Constructed from 100% U.S. stainless steel, the Powerline is durable. Reliability is no question either with the complete mechanical design. That means no packing–none. The Powerline houses a series of precise baffles and chambers to lower sound and perform better than stock. As an added benefit, the Powerline is considerably lighter than any stock utility exhaust and has a U.S. Forestry-approved spark arrestor. For pure racing ATVs, FMF offers their championship winning Factory4.1 System, available in natural or blue anodized finish to give your ATV superior power and performance and improve horsepower throughout RPM range especially when mated to FMF’s PowerBomb and MegaBomb header technologies. FMF also offers exhaust systems for almost all 50cc-90cc model ATVs.
FMF has also been heavily into the streetbike market for many years and even can boast some AMA Road Racing Championship involvement with their line of STM “Slipper Clutches.” The STM Slipper Clutch is a “Controlled Engine Braking System” (CEB) which uses advanced clutch technology bringing new and innovative performance improvements to the rapidly expanding 4-stroke off-road, Super Moto, street, and ATV markets. All components of this system are produced utilizing the highest quality manufacturing standards–ISO 9002–and Italian craftsmanship by STM. The CEB Clutch System is a unique and highly effective engine-to clutch-to rear wheel power management system. When the throttle is closed, this triggers the clutch to release and decreases unwanted engine braking. Already in use by top factory riders and teams, it decreases lap times, inhibits engine stalling, increases holeshots and helps create ‘neutral’ jumping characteristics by decreasing rear wheel drag in ‘throttle off’ conditions.

While still operating like a conventional clutch from a dead stop or in ‘feathering’ situations with rider input, the releasing action of this system affects the negative handling and traction characteristics of a 4-stroke machine. The CEB System permits the engine to glide or coast more freely on deceleration, reducing engine braking and unloading the suspension. This allows the rider and machine to rapidly roll through braking bumps and corners without engine drag or to aggressively back it into asphalt Super Moto or road racing corners at high speed. The end result is less stress on drive train components increasing longevity and durability, while giving more traction control and feedback. For 2008, FMF will continue to offer the STM clutch systems for both street and dirt bikes. Plus, for the street, FMF will announce a whole new line of high performance exhaust systems for the best selling brands and models of street machines on the road. Watch for the launch of FMF’s Apex sportbike products at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo.
Plus, FMF would never forget about the booming mini market. That’s why FMF offers more mini applications than ever before. With a full line of 50cc–100cc 2-Stroke pipes and silencers as well as 50cc–230cc 4-Stroke pipes and mufflers, FMF can equip your dealership with whatever your customers want or need in the mini moto market.
And, so your customers can look like their favorite off-road hero, FMF offers a full line of trendy apparel that includes some very cool sweatshirts and jackets, hoodys, hats, long and short sleeved T-shirts, youth and girl’s apparel and more. FMF has introduced all new colors and designs to their 2008 clothing line that are now available for purchase.
The people at FMF are all about motorcycles and ATVs. They spend their weekends at the races and their weekdays at FMF creating, building, and shipping FMF products to your dealership so you can rely on regular delivery and availability from FMF through Parts Unlimited. Also, at FMF development of products and new applications is ongoing. For example, FMF already has products available for the DR-Z70, CanAm DS 70 and DS 90, the Rhino Powerline and Powercore 4 Duals.
