t might be cold outside right now but spring is just around the corner. Tucked away in all those garages and basements across the country are countless Harleys just waiting to come out and start the adventure again. Riders are anxiously awaiting those first 60-degree days and they’re busy making the preparations. Are you ready for them?
With visions of Daytona, Laconia, Sturgis, Myrtle Beach, Milwaukee–and all those local Poker Runs–dancing in their heads your customers know there’s a lot of riding coming up. They also know that this year they’d like to do that riding in comfort, and if they don’t have the right seat that’s not going to happen. Here’s where you come in. Make sure everyone is introduced to the real comfort of Saddlemen’s Explorer seats. The Explorer saddles have everything riders look for when they re-saddle their Harleys, and they will re-saddle them. You can count on that.
Every Explorer saddle is designed and built to provide miles of uncompromising comfort. Each one is custom sculpted to provide the most refined seat contours ever developed. The Explorer’s exclusive split-cushion saddle, for example, separates the lumbar support and seat cushions. Each compresses independently. The result is dramatically reduced tail and hipbone pressure. The tendency to slide forward goes away, too. Then there’s Saddlemen’s most important comfort ingredient: SaddleGel. If you’ve never experienced a long ride in a SaddleGel saddle you owe this treat to yourself, as well as your customers. SaddleGel delivers a comfort level that lasts all day long. There’s no “numb butt,” no pressure point “hot spots,” no shifting around trying to get comfortable and keep the blood flowing. SaddleGel is amazing stuff and every Explorer seat has it.
And the Explorer seats all look great and they’re available in plenty of styles. The Explorer Special adds chrome studs and the Classic Explorer also gets you side skirts, conchos and removable leather fringe. It’s the ultimate in nostalgic style. The Explorers all install just like a stock seat, too. The fit is perfect. And these seats are durable. Every one is built with Saddlemen quality from the seat pan to the covering, and there are covering options as well. There’s Saddlemen’s ultra-flexible and long-wearing SaddleHyde or genuine leather to choose from. Bottom line: there’s an Explorer, a comfortable and good-looking Explorer, to suit every rider’s taste.
When those riders come in looking for comfort show them the Saddlemen Explorer. The Explorers are easy to keep in stock, too. The same seat that fits a 1997 ‘Glide will fit bikes right through ‘07, and there are Explorers for the new ‘08 models, as well. These seats aren’t just for the dressers, either. Dyna, Softail and Sportster riders will love the Explorers just as much as the long-haul touring crowd and there are Explorer models for all of those bikes, too. Most are available with a built-in, adjustable, removable rider’s backrest.
Check out all the Explorer saddles in the FatBook and make sure your customers do, too. They’re in stock and ready for the riders who need them. Put the two together. It’s an easy sale and it’s the right sale.
