oack in 2006, someone at Drag Specialties came up with pretty nice thought: we’re all so busy running our businesses that we sometimes forget why we got into this sport. We love riding motorcycles! That led to the inaugural Drag Specialties Dealer Ride, held that year in the Sturgis, SD area, and in 2007 the Blue Ridge Run was held in the Great Smokey Mountains.
For 2008, Drag Specialties is moving the 3 day-3 night ride west to the Lake of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. The Ozarks provide twisty, serpentine highways and roads through lush forest reserves, making this area a veritable rider’s haven. Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to ride two different loops and a chance to enjoy the outstanding scenery. The ride is not guided, giving you the option to sight-see and enjoy the many parks and sites along the way. You will be provided with a map for each loop, a place to have lunch and plenty of time to enjoy the ride. The trip includes three nights of lodging, hosted meals and lots of swag provided by the participating ride sponsors.
Come enjoy the natural, unspoiled beauty of Missouri and Arkansas. All you need to do is get there, bring your bike and Drag Specialties will take care of the rest. Be their guest and enjoy the best days of riding with lots of fun and camaraderie. You’ll definitely remember why you got into motorcycling.
So how do you get signed up for this great experience? Talk to your Drag Specialties sales rep immediately. Openings for the ride will soon sell out and your Drag rep can go over the details on how you can qualify.

Come ride with us! The staff of Drag Specialties are all motorcycle enthusiasts and look forward to riding with you in the Ozarks.

The scenery along the route of last year’s Blue Ridge Run was spectacular. Expect more of that when the 2008 ride takes off from Branson, Missouri this June.

One of the benefits of a ride like this is getting some quality time with key Drag Specialties vendors. Talk directly with reps from Memphis Shades and other leading motorcycle accessory manufacturers and pick up a few free goodies as well.

From left: Drag Specialties sales reps Brian Sullivan and Ken Caves with some of their dealers from New York at last year’s ride, Gary Stout of Headman’s Cycle Shop and Dan Thayer of Thayer’s Sales and Service. NE Regional Manager Dwight Covell is on the right.

Ride with top custom builders and hear their stories about their favorite projects. Tuff Cycle’s Tank Ewsichek, builder of the great looking Bagger on the cover of this issue and the 2008 Drag Specialties FatBook, was on the ride last year.

A popular feature of the event is the qualifying package allows for riders and passengers. See your Drag rep, there are three levels to pick from. This is Dave and Lina Vulakh of American Classic Motors last year at the Blue Ridge Run.
