ome snakes rattle to warn you they’re nearby, but the Drag Specialties Python rumbles. But it’s not a warning to stay away, it’s an invitation to check out the latest exhaust systems from Python for the 2008 season.
The Venom Radius is designed to fit ‘07-‘08 Softail models. The distinctive downward-curving pipes come with one-piece, 220-degree, 100-percent blue-proof, 2 1/2-inch heatshields to keep them looking good mile after mile. Inside you’ll find louvered core baffles that deliver the big Python sound that sends the others running for cover. And talk about style–the slash-cut tips have in it spades.
For the bagger crowd there’s the Python True Dual headers. They solve the “baked ham” problem stock pipes create on the right side of the bike by using a rear header that exits to the left to cut down on heat. The 1 3/4-inch headpipes produce the sound you love and the performance you demand, and the 220-degree, 2 1/8-inch full-coverage heatshields make the True Duals truly blue-proof. They accept any ‘95-‘08 OEM-style mufflers, fit ‘07-‘08 FLHT, FLHR, FLHX, and FLTR models, and includes lugs for the factory O2 sensors.
If you’d rather go whole hog instead of adding mufflers to the True Duals, go with the Mamba Duals instead. They’re a complete true-duals touring system and come with blue-proof, 220-degree heatshields on both the headpipes and mufflers, and feature stylish slash-cut ends, O2 sensor lugs, and optional quiet baffles. Mambas are available for ‘07-‘08 FLHT, FLHR, FLHX, and FLTR models.
Python has a new slip-on muffler, too, the 3 1/2-inch Slash-Cut Slip-On. The high-velocity shielded muffler cores offer protection from heat discoloration while producing outstanding performance gains. The slash-cut ends lend them a dash of style, and the baffles are removable. They’re available for ‘95-‘08 FLT, FLHT, FLHX, FLTR, and FLHR models, and come complete with instructions and mounting hardware.
Don’t let exhaust-system sales slither away in 2008. Talk to your Drag Specialties rep about the new Python exhaust products and the only rattling you’ll hear is that of the change in the cash-register drawer.
