ice sales can happen this time of the year. Powersports enthusiasts–and their family members–are in a gift-giving mood. There are plenty of small, budget-priced items around the store that make great last-minute gifts, too. Put ‘em up front and they’ll be picked up and slid across the counter as a sale.
All those Motion Pro tool sets are perfect here. There are a lot to choose from, they’re all handy, they’re top-shelf quality and most of them are priced so a customer won’t have second thoughts. All you have to do is plant that first thought by putting things where they’ll be seen.
Try out something like the Motion Pro Folding Trail T-Handle Set. At just $27.95 this compact 1/4-in. drive set includes 8, 10, 12 and 13mm six-point sockets along with a T-Handle drive. It’s all packed in a neat little nylon case. The Ball-End Allen Set is another winner. It’s just $14.95 and comes with 1.5-, 2-, 2.5-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 8- and 10mm Allen wrenches all clipped into a tidy holder. It’s great.
Don’t be afraid to move these last-minute gift buyers up the
price range, either. You’ve got them thinking tools and the Motion Pro Multi-Purpose Tool, either the metric or SAE version, is a dandy. These are the “Swiss Army Knives” of the motorcycle world. Like Motion Pro says, “Any rider without one is seriously unprepared.” The metric version can be used on 8-, 10-, 12-, and 14mm bolts; #2 and #3 Phillips-head screws; small and medium straight-slot screws; 5mm and 6mm hex-head bolts; even bottle caps. The SAE MP Tool comes with Phillips, Allen and Torx bits as well as 7/16-in., 1/2-in. and 9/16-in. sockets. Both tools include a nylon carrying case with a belt loop. The metric version retails for $49.95, the SAE tool is $59.95.
Chances are you already have most of these tools in the store, maybe even some others like the T6 Chain Tool, the Float Bowl Wrench, the D.I.Y Brake Bleeder, the Magnetic Parts Dish and the list goes on. Don’t hide any of them, not this time of year. And if you don’t have Motion Pro tools in the store get them. They’re all available through Parts Unlimited.
