otocross is a great sport, but even at the highest professional level, it only lasts 30 minutes per moto on well-groomed surfaces and professionally watered tracks. The real test of riding gear comes in off-road racing, where the events last hours, sometimes days, and the terrain is anything from rocks, mud, snow, ice, woods, desert, extreme heat or extreme cold. The majority of riders in America ride and race off-road, and they want riding gear that will stand up and stand out. Moose Racing gear is developed and tested by the toughest off-road racers in the world and for many years now Moose Racing riders have brought home the Championships to prove it.

Moose Racing’s Jimmy Jarrett has long been the man to beat in the Parts Unlimited OMA series. 2007 marked Jarrett’s fourth OMA Championship in a row. Along the way Jarrett won eight of the events overall and completely out-classed the competition. Jarrett, racing two series this year, also finished fourth in the points in the GNCC Series. Next year, Jarrett will be going for his fifth OMA title and possibly his first GNCC Championship.

Some of the toughest and fastest off-road racers in the world compete for the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) title and Moose Racing riders dominated the series in 2007. In the first half of the season Ryan Hughes looked to be unstoppable, holding the points lead and winning three events in a row, including the 105-degree day in Havasu where his Moose Sahara Gear was a definite advantage. Hughes was sidelined with injuries but not before Moose Racing’s Nathan Woods took over with four of his own victories after coming back from a broken hand. Moose Racing’s Bobby Garrison also took home a couple of wins, making Moose Racing riders the dominant force in the WORCS series, winning nine of the 12 rounds.
In WORCS Pro2, Moose Racing’s Jamie Lanza was the dominating factor in 2007. Lanza won four of the 12 races in the series and was on the podium an additional three times, crushing all other contenders for the title. Between Lanza’s Pro2 Championship and the victories of the Pro1 Moose Racing riders, it was a pretty good bet that whoever was out front in 2007 was wearing Moose Racing gear in the WORCS series.

Moose Racing’s David Knight is an off-road superstar. The Red Bull KTM Factory off-road rider from the Isle of Man usually finishes first when he races, including dominant performances in the World Enduro Championships, the ISDE Overall, the Red Bull Last Man Standing, the Maxxis EnduroCross, Australian Four-Day Enduro, Weston Beach Race and on and on. But adding the 2007 Grand National Cross Country Championship was not nearly as easy. On some weekends Knighter was every bit the dominator, winning by massive margins with an unbeatable combination of skill, speed and strength. But on others, the man seemed truly cursed with bad luck sidelining his championship efforts. But true champions rise to the challenge and so did Knight in 2007. Coming into the GNCC finale, Knight had collected six wins in 12 rounds, but he also failed to score points twice after dealing with an injury in Georgia and bike trouble in Pennsylvania, along with other assorted snags that kept him off of the podium and kept the competition in the hunt. With a sizable points lead going into the final race, Knight had only to finish 12th or better to secure his first GNCC title. But instead of playing it safe, Knight chose to win like a legend; he put the hammer down and pulled away, eventually winning the battle and the war, and the 2007 GNCC Championship for Moose Racing.
Moose Racing doesn’t just make riding gear for great off-road motorcycle racers, they include off-road ATV racers as well. Bill Ballance is the dominant GNCC ATV racer of this decade and may be for all time. Ballance re-wrote the history books in 2007 by becoming the all-time King of Quads in the Grand National Cross Country Series. The Moose Racing rider has won the GNCC crown for the eighth-straight time, for an all-time record.
Women racers are also part of Moose Racing and in 2007 they stepped up to the plate and delivered home runs as well. Moose Racing’s Traci Cecco brought home the Women’s GNCC ATV Championship, making it her sixth title where she rules GNCC racing as the absolute Queen of the Quads.

Moose Racing’s Russell Pearson finished the 2007 AMA/FMF Racing National Hare & Hound Series the way he started…by winning at Lucerne Valley, California. It couldn’t have gone better for the former series champion as he nailed the start of the 40th Annual Johnson Valley Championship, and simply rode away unchallenged on his Montclair Yamaha/Pro Circuit/Moose-sponsored YZ450F. Moose Racing rider Russ Pearson has been the man to beat in the desert for many years now. The 2-time Hare & Hound Champion also holds four ISDE Gold Medals and has National Enduro and WORCS victories to his credit.
Moose Racing is on the front lines of off-road racing in the deserts, the woods, and the mountains, winning races, Championships and developing some of the finest riding gear on the planet. Be part of off-road history and stock up on Moose Racing gear today.
