arts Unlimited’s sister company, Drag Specialties, has a few things available you might want to know about. True enough, Drag Specialties is the V-twin oriented side of things at Lemans but look out over your own showroom floor. Chances are good there are some V-twins right there, too. In many cases those metric cruisers are dead ringers for the American versions, and a V-twin is a V-twin when it comes to the oils you put in and some of the other chemicals and fluids they might need. Drag Specialties has it all, and it’s all just a phone call away.
The Drag Specialties oils, introduced a couple of years ago, are available in a wide variety of weights and formulations. They cover the needs of everything from the newest fuel-injected engines to those tried-and-true vintage motors. There’s a state-of-the-art fully synthetic motor oil with the Drag Specialties brand, too, and all of it–petroleum-based and synthetic–exceeds API CI-4/SL service ratings. This is the good stuff. Drag Specialties worked with some of the biggest and best refiners in the world to develop these motorcycle oils. These lubricants are as good as it gets. And now there’s even more. Drag Specialties has added Brake Fluids and Fuel Additives to the line.
The Drag Specialties DOT 5 Silicone Brake Fluid has a 500-degree dry boiling point and will not absorb moisture. It’s available by the case, a dozen 12-ounce containers (Part #3703-0014). The Drag Specialties DOT 4 Brake Fluid is rated with a 470-degree dry boiling point and it’s also sold in cases of a dozen 12-ounce containers (Part #3703-0013). The same R&D and cutting-edge science and technology that went into all those Drag Specialties lubricants is right here in the Brake Fluids. These fluids have been designed and formulated especially for motorcycles and it was done by people who know motorcycles. Just like the oils, the Drag Specialties Brake Fluids are no more expensive than any premium fluid on the market.
You can add Drag Specialties Fuel Injector Cleaner and Fuel Stabilizer to your shelf, too. The Fuel Injector Cleaner is specially formulated to dispel moisture and clean away unwanted fuel-system deposits. It does a great job of stabilizing and conditioning the fuel, too. It’s available in 8-ounce containers, once again in those case lots of 12 (Part #3704-0059). Also new is the Drag Specialties Fuel Stabilizer. It’s designed to prevent fuel breakdown, keep fuel system corrosion in check and combat gum and varnish accumulation. It works in both carbureted and fuel-injected engines. It does a great job of keeping fuel fresh during extended storage periods and of course absorbs moisture. It’s compatible with all 2- and 4-stroke engines, with or without catalytic converters and once again is also sold in case lots of 8-ounce containers (Part #3707-0006).
The packaging for all of this is consistent with all of those oils in the Drag Specialties line. These are products you can put on the shelf with pride and sell with confidence. Harley shops have been doing it for years. You can, too.
