t’s been one heck of a year for Bridgestone. MotoGP, Supercross, Motocross, even Hare & Hounds, it’s been Bridgestone up on the podium all season long–as often as not in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions and then at year’s end carrying away the Championship Title. Throughout all of 2007 and in just about any form of competition Bridgestone tires have been the winner’s choice. Casey Stoner, Chris Vermeulen, Marco Melandri, Loris Capirossi, John Hopkins, James Stewart, Chad Reed, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto and Jason Raines are just some of the winners with Bridgestone. That’s a stellar lineup if there ever was one and every one of those riders uses Bridgestone tires. That right there has got to tell you something. Bridgestone has some pretty special tires.
Most importantly, all that technology, testing, R&D and track experience leading to those successes gets filtered straight down to the tires you can sell, the ones available right now through Parts Unlimited. And with a record like this you’re not going to have to do much talking to convince a customer to make the Bridgestone choice. The tires, and those track results, speak for themselves.
Start with the sportbike crowd. You can begin and end the sales pitch with the Bridgestone Battlax BT-014 High Performance Sport Radials and the BT-002 Racing Street tires. Both are direct descendents of Bridgestone’s MotoGP and Endurance Racing success. The Battlax BT-014s, designed for those truly aggressive street riders, are ultra-high performance tires using a special Silica compound for outstanding grip in all conditions. With their track-proven tread patterns there’s traction, shock absorption, wet weather performance and even noise reduction in spades. Want to up the ante? Point that sportbike guy to the Battlax BT-002 Racing Street. This is Bridgestone’s Z- rated street-legal tire and it performs like a race tire. Perfect for track days, the Racing Street has all the balance, stability, feedback and grip to have any rider performing at his maximum. The BT-002 Racing Street even comes out of the same mold as Bridgestone’s DOT race rubber.
It’s the same story in the dirt. Bridgestone’s M403 and M404 MX tires are the latest additions here. Developed with plenty of input from top AMA Supercross, Motocross and Off-Road factory race teams, Bridgestone has fine-tuned everything, paying extra-special attention to the casing design, the construction, the compounding and of course the tread patterns. They’ve even increased the durability factor and broadened the range of soil conditions and track surfaces these tires can win on. There’s plenty of volume for an increased contact patch and better damping, the block placement has been optimized and on the M404 rear Bridgestone has incorporated brand-new lug patterns, compounds and constructions for enhanced cornering. Those tread blocks have been optimally spaced for traction, durability, clean-out and unsurpassed control at any lean angle. Put it all together and you have an MX tire that won’t quit–and can’t help but win.
There’s a lot more than just these examples at Bridgestone, too. There are cruiser tires, dual-sport tires, commuter’s tires–even scooter tires–and every last one of them is a genuine Bridgestone, a tire designed, tested and proven in the toughest crucible of them all, the race track. Bottom line: Bridgestones are winners, and winners sell. Call your Parts Unlimited rep today and stock up.
