At press time, Casey Stoner had captured 8 MotoGP victories aboard his Bridgestone-shod Ducati. Stoner is currently leading the series with a 60-point lead. Bridgestone has what it takes to win on the track, and all of that performance is available for the street as well. Make sure to show your customers the Bridgestone Battlax BT-014s and BT-002 Racing Street tires.

ere you one of the lucky ones at the Laguna Seca U.S GP? If not, maybe you watched the live coverage on TV. Fox Sports did one heck of a job bringing all the action from Laguna Seca right into living rooms across the country. With cameras positioned all around the track, more cameras up in helicopters overhead and another half-dozen or so right on the bikes themselves nothing was missed. Truth is, everyone watching that race at home probably had a better seat than someone at the track. It was great stuff.
That race ended just great for Bridgestone, too. The post-race interviews told the story. Fresh from the checkered flag as the TV commentators went up to the No. 1, 2 and 3 finishers for a little “What was it like out there” banter they were greeted with bright-red Bridgestone hats all around. Bridgestone tires, once again, had been the winner’s choice. Casey Stoner–1st place, Chris Vermeulen–2nd, and Marco Melandri–3rd, were all racing on Bridgestone rubber. How’s that for an endorsement, not to mention a sales tool?
It gets better. Three weeks later at the Brno, Czech Republic GP round Casey Stoner and Bridgestone did it again. That’s eight wins out of 12 races so far for Bridgestone and an almost untouchable 60-point lead for the series championship. It isn’t like Casey Stoner is alone in his tire choice, either. A lot of other top runners, John Hopkins, Marco Melandri, Loris Capirossi, Chris Vermeulen and Randy de Puniet are on Bridgestones, too. Bridgestone pretty much fills out the Top 10 Roster at every MotoGP.
Good news like that for Bridgestone translates into great news for you when it comes to selling sportbike tires. What serious sportbike rider doesn’t want some of that winning mojo? You can give it to him with the Bridgestone Battlax BT-014 High Performance Sport Radials and the BT-002 Racing Street tires. Both of these tire sets are direct descendents of Bridgestone’s racing success and they’re both available right now through Parts Unlimited.
The Battlax BT-014s, Bridgestone High Performance Sport Radials, are ultra-high performance tires designed for the truly aggressive street rider. The BT-014s use a special Silica compound for outstanding grip in all conditions and with an innovative tread pattern there’s further improvement in traction, shock absorption, wet weather performance and even noise reduction. The BT-014 is high-tech stuff, racetrack stuff, and it’s available right off the rack from Bridgestone.
Then there’s the Battlax BT-002 Racing Street, Bridgestone’s Z-speed rated street-legal tire that performs like a genuine race tire. It’s perfect for track days. The BT-002 Racing Street delivers race-level balance, stability, feedback, grip, anti-shimmy properties and shock absorption to let sportbike riders perform to their peak potential. Bridgestone aimed to deliver the ultimate street/sport tire and hit that target dead-center. The BT-002 Racing Street tires actually come out of the same molds as the Bridgestone DOT race rubber. They’re available in all the popular sportbike sizes, a 120/70ZR17, a 180/55ZR17, 190/50ZR17 and a 190/55ZR17.
Casey Stoner, Chris Vermeulen, Marco Melandri and many other hot shots on the GP circuit race and win with Bridgestone. The local hot shots coming into your store can have some of that winning performance, too. It’s called Bridgestone, and it’s all available through Parts Unlimited.
