Do your customers a favor and suggest a genuine K&N High-Flow Air Filter and Performance Oil Filter. It’s guaranteed money well-spent!

he extra couple bucks you may charge for a genuine K&N, whether it’s one of the High-Flow Air Filters or a Performance Oil Filter, is going to be money well spent. You’re actually doing each of your customers a favor, and here’s why…
Start with those High-Flow Air Filters. Each K&N filter is a unique piece. It’s totally different in both form and function than an ordinary foam or paper style filter. K&N uses four layers of premium cotton gauze as the filtering medium, pleated and sandwiched between epoxy-coated aluminum wire mesh. Once specially treated with their filter oil, this creates an advanced air filter that provides not only high airflow but also critical protection for the engine. It’s a combination that does a vastly superior job filtering out dirt and dust while greatly increasing the airflow when compared to a standard paper air filter, square-inch for square-inch. Each K&N filter is custom designed for its application, too, right down to the seal shape and design and the size, depth, pitch angle and number of the pleats. Don’t scrimp. Don’t let your customers do it, either. It’s false security. Sell them K&N the first time.
That High-Flow Air Filter is completely serviceable, too. Cleaned and re-oiled as needed it will be the last air filter that customer ever buys for his bike. That’s no joke. K&N even guarantees its street-bike air filters for 1 million miles of use. A million miles! Any rider chalking up that kind of mileage deserves to get his second filter free! Seriously, though, when someone comes in asking for an air filter slide a K&N across the counter. Put a K&N Filter Recharging Kit alongside it, too. This handy package has all the genuine K&N cleaners and oils needed to keep that filter going and doing its thing. Mile after mile, year after year.
While you’re talking filters with a customer put a genuine K&N Performance Oil Filter out there, too. Yes, it might cost a little more than some generic replacement but it’s about the same price–or even less–than the OE. Difference is that K&N Performance Oil Filter is built to racing specifications. There’s typically 20- to 30-percent more filtration area here. On top of that K&N uses a special Synthetic Media in its oil filters, a specially developed filtering material that ensures maximum flow, minimum pressure drop and of course outstanding filtration. And a K&N Performance Oil Filter doesn’t break down filtering synthetic oils, an important consideration for riders making the switch to synthetics. There’s also a heavy-duty steel body, a double-rolled base plate, a pre-lubed base gasket for a perfect seal, pressure relief and anti drain-back valves (where applicable) and even a handy 17mm hex nut formed right on the end for easy installation and removal. K&N has even cross-drilled that nut for safety wiring.
The choice is yours. You can sell your customers K&N, the filters made right here in the U.S.A. with hands-on attention to detail, or not. Everything K&N is available right through Drag Specialties. Keep it in stock and let your customers know why you do.
