op factory riders like James Stewart, Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael all race and win with Bridgestone. So do savvy amateurs and weekend enthusiasts everywhere. The reason: Bridgestone has the tires that win–in all conditions. Bridgestone’s M201s and M202s are the tires to have when the terrain is at its softest and the ever-popular M401s and M402s work their magic in the intermediate conditions. And when the action’s hopping on the hard-pack Bridgestone has the right tires there, too, the M601/M602 combo. All those tires are available in all the right sizes, too, so everyone on every machine has a shot at the best, the tires the champions ride straight to the podium week after week.
     And now Bridgestone has made it all even better. The M403 and M404 MX tires, just out, are a brand-new set of winners building on all that’s great about the super successful M401 and M402 intermediate-terrain tires. And if you thought those original Bridgestone MX intermediates were good and sold great just wait until you and your customers get a chance to try out their replacements, the M403 front and M404 rear. They’re something else.
     As always, Bridgestone developed these tires with plenty of help and input from top AMA Supercross, Motocross and off-road factory teams, teams already dominating racetracks everywhere with their Bridgestones. Building on a proven winner, that M401/M402 combination, Bridgestone fine-tuned everything for the M403/M404. Paying careful attention to the casing, the construction, the compound and the tread design they’ve further increased durability and widened even more the range of soil conditions and track surfaces the new tires can excel in and on. Those original Bridgestone intermediates were pretty special; the new M403/M404 raises that bar even higher.
     There’s some serious design and development at work here. These are Intermediates in every sense of the word. The new M403/M404s were specifically designed to deal with a very wide range of track conditions. The M403 front features a new and unique casing shape with plenty of volume for a significantly increased contact patch, better damping, even more bump absorption and exceptional straight line stability. The block placement’s been optimized, too, so the contact patch is continual at all lean angles and cornering conditions. All this has increased the braking grip, too. And on the M404 rear tire Bridgestone’s incorporated new lug patterns, rubber compounds and constructions for enhanced cornering grip. The M404 rear has extra-tall center blocks, too, and the payoff here is maximum dig. Those blocks have been optimally spaced for traction, durability, clean-out and much better control at all lean angles.
     Put all that together and you have a worthy successor to the M401/M402s. The new M403 front delivers even more cornering control and feedback an all lean angles and the M404 rear pitches in with added traction and slide control for even better acceleration out of the corners. Fast riders will get faster, every rider can get better and lower the lap times.
     The new Bridgestone Intermediates come in sizes to fit just about every bike in the market, 50cc juniors clear up to the big 450cc machines. The M403 front will be offered in six different sizes and the M404 rear will have 10 sizes available. For the M403 fronts there are 60/100-12, 60/100-14, 70/100-17, 70/100-19, 80/100-21 and 90/100-21.
