hose 14-inch ITP TerraCross R/T radials really took off in the side-by-side UTV market. All those Rhinos, Mules, Prowlers and Rangers got real 6-ply toughness in a remarkably lightweight tire. When teamed up with a set of ITP’s great looking aluminum wheels those TerraCross R/Ts became quick selling bolt-ons that set a new standard for Utility Vehicle comfort, confidence and control.
     Now all that is available in two new 12-inch sizes. Those 14-inch TerraCross R/Ts proved themselves in all sorts of conditions and terrains, getting the job done in mud, snow and sand. Exceptional traction and flotation teamed with that 6-ply construction for great sidewall protection is tough to beat. Add in a take-no-prisoners tread pattern that delivers extra grip over the toughest rock-strewn and rutted trails and the TerraCross R/T radials become one heck of a tire.
     And now all that’s available in even more sizes covering a whole new market of late-model ATVs. Dealers and customers have been asking for this ever since that UTV TerraCross was introduced and here it is. This whole new family of 12-inch TerraCross R/Ts was developed specifically for ATV applications, and making the deal even sweeter ITP is offering a new wheel/tire package to go with them, matching the R/Ts with 12-inch SS Alloy wheels. And it looks as good as it works. A runaway success with the UTVs, the 12-inch TerraCross R/T kits will be just as popular with the 4x4 ATV crowd.
     Getting to the specifics, these new ATV application TerraCross R/Ts are available in a 26/9R-12 front and a 26/11R-12 rear. All that same TerraCross R/T 6-ply durability is included, the same smooth radial ride is here and so are the exceptional traction, flotation and overall handling traits that have proven so popular in all those other sizes. Dirt Wheels Magazine tested a Yamaha Grizzly using TerraCross R/T tires in its May 2007 issue and found that they, “truly change the quad’s handling characteristics, in a positive way. The Griz needed a tire that would hook up and provide a consistent drive out of every corner…and ITP’s TerraCross radial tires proved themselves worthy of the task.” And ATV Rider Magazine in its September 2007 issue said “The TerraCross R/T fit our expectations perfectly. The tread design drastically improved the steering and response of the Honda. The Rincon benefited greatly from the radial construction of the tires and acted as if a new level of suspension had been added…I’d say the tires and wheels should be the first and most important upgrade for this machine.”
     ITP has made that upgrade easy. This new pre-mounted tire/wheel kit is specifically intended for ATVs and includes the 26-inch TerraCross R/T fit to 12-inch SS Alloy wheels. Lightweight and cool looking, this is exactly what ATV riders have asked for. All three of the current SS Alloy wheel styles are offered as options in this kit, too, so everyone gets the look they want. The 12x7 wheel is available pre-mounted with the 26-inch TerraCross R/T in the SS106 Machined Finish, the SS108 Machined or Black Finish and SS112 Machined Finish variations. And those wheels are as good as the tires. Manufactured with ITP’s high-tech Advancecast process, they’re incredibly strong one-piece aluminum wheels that come with a lifetime structural warranty. If it gets bent or broken ITP replaces it. A custom SS wheel cap is included, too.
