     The outer chassis of the Mercer Textile jacket is made of a Dupont Cordura shell fabric with PU coating that provides durable abrasion resistance with a shell material which features a Teflon finish.
To keep riders cool in the summer heat the Mercer employs mesh fabrics along the front, back and inner arm to provide excellent ventilation. And when the ride cools down there are zip-off liners in waterproof and a breathable Microdry Membrane with all the seams sealed which works just like Gortex to keep riders warm and dry.
     For safety, the Mercer Textile features CE approved, removable shoulder and elbow armor for protection. The armor is positioned to be comfortable while in the riding position, just as the pre-curved arms of this jacket are.
And so that riders can move freely during the ride, there is strong elasticized fabric at the underarm and forearm for extra flexibility.
     To keep looking good, the Arlen Ness Mercer Textile jacket has side buckles for adjustment of the waist and reflective piping under the back yoke. All in all it’s another great package from the king of the customs.
