inning a championship is nothing new to the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, and it’s getting to be a habit for young Ryan Villopoto. He added the 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Lites Series West Championship to his trophy case with his sixth win in seven races at the San Diego Supercross Lites final in February. Championships aren’t new to Villopoto, even at this level of the sport, because, as we all recall, Ryan was one of many Pro Circuit mounted riders to take titles in 2006. In fact, Villopoto won the biggest prize in Lites racing in ‘06 when he took home the AMA National Motocross Lites Championship against one of the toughest fields in MX history.
By taking the 2007 Supercross Lites West title, Villopoto becomes the first rider of the new season to continue the Pro Circuit Championship winning streak of 2006. Truthfully, it’s more of dynasty, as the Pro Circuit winning streak began all the way back in 1991!
Pro Circuit has a saying that goes like this, “We Race. We Win. You Benefit.” It’s actually pretty simple when you think about it. Pro Circuit began as a race shop and while it has developed into so much more, Pro Circuit has never left the race track. Owned and operated by Mitch Payton, Pro Circuit began as a custom precision engine and suspension building facility. Payton has invested over 25 years in engine building and machine shop techniques. Having had the privilege to work with the most talented riders in the industry has allowed Mitch and his crew to develop products and services that perform. Everything Pro Circuit makes is designed and tested at the races with only one thing in mind, performance enhancement for your motorcycle. Straight from the track to the shop and onto your bike, Pro Circuit performance products are some of the best available.

When Pro Circuit says they “go racing” it is not just an idle boast. Pro Circuit’s race teams have won 20 AMA Pro Racing 125cc (Lites) Number One Plates in 17 years. They began with their first 125cc Supercross/Motocross team back in 1991 with a kid named Jeremy McGrath taking the 125cc Supercross West title and Brian Swink taking the 125cc Supercross East Championship. Since then the list of riders who have won titles with Pro Circuit reads like a “Who’s Who” of racing greats. McGrath, Michael Pichon, Ricky Carmichael, Nathan Ramsey, Ivan Tedesco, Mike Brown, Grant Langston, and Ryan Villopoto have all won Supercross and/or Motocross Championships as Pro Circuit riders.
2006 was another milestone year for Pro Circuit, as they won almost every title they went after. From Supercross to Off-Road, Pro Circuit machinery was on the track and winning races and Championships. In fact, you could say that almost every title won in 2006 was taken with Pro Circuit equipped machinery. Check out the staggering list of Championship Titles Pro Circuit won in 2006:
