With a trophy case full of world and national championships, Michelin has long been at the forefront of off-road tire technology. In 2006, for the second consecutive year, Michelin riders won both the Grand National Cross-Country and National Hare Scrambles championships. What’s more, these titles were won on the same Michelin off-road tires that you can buy–not exotic, factory-only “development” tires. The complete line of Michelin tires is available through your Parts Unlimited dealer.

Starcross MS3 and MH3
Championship-winning Michelin Starcross motocross tires have been proven on the toughest racetracks around the world. Starcross MS3 tires are for soft to intermediate terrain, while Starcross MH3 tires are for intermediate to hard conditions. Both feature the innovative M-Block knob design, which maximizes the number of biting edges, for aggressive penetration of the track surface and tenacious forward drive. On top of each knob, a small “M” is molded into the rubber, to act as a treadwear indicator. When the “M” disappears, the rider can reverse the tire on the rim.

Starcross Mini MS2 and Mini MH3
The official tires of KTM Junior Supercross Challenge, the Starcross Mini range brings world-class Michelin performance to minibike riders. The knob patterns of “junior” Starcross MH3 and MS2 tires are closely based on those of full-size Starcross tires, adapted to smaller casing sizes. They’re available in the full range of mini sizes, so riders have a choice of Michelin tires for any bike or track conditions.

Starcross Sand 4
The Starcross Sand 4 rear tire excels on sandy tracks. The Sand 4 tire’s scoop-like knob pattern helps provide forward drive without bogging down or packing up in deep sand. The Sand 4 rear tire is recommended for use with the Starcross MS3 or S12 front tires.

S12 and M12
Michelin S12 and M12 tires have long been favorites for their durability and high performance. When Dirt Bike magazine conducted an intermediate tire shootout, S12 tires came away the clear winners. Editors said “its aggressive knob pattern held up well in the deep soil, it proved adept at transitional traction, and its light weight didn’t hamper the [KTM] 450’s power.”
S12 tires are for soft to intermediate terrain, while M12 tires are for intermediate to hardpack conditions.

AC10
Seven-time National Enduro Champion Mike Lafferty often relies on versatile Michelin AC10 tires when the terrain is firm and fast. Their specially formulated rubber mix promotes impressive durability, and resists chunking even under hard use. The aggressive, bi-directional AC10 tread provides excellent traction in a variety of conditions. An added bonus is that it’s DOT-approved, making AC10 tires ideal for dual-sport riding.

Michelin Trial Competition
Many riders are discovering that trials tires are ideal for off-road riding as well. Their exceptional grip, feel and durability help Michelin Trial Competition tires excel on a variety of terrain. With 25 world championships since 1981, Michelin Trial Competition tires are the choice of the world’s best riders.
