he Memphis Shades “Trigger Lock” mounting system has become a rider’s favorite. Out for less than a year, this windshield anchoring hardware uses a pair of spring-loaded/trigger-operated latches to mount every Memphis Shades windshield in the lineup and mounts them quicker than ever, as securely as ever, and all without tools. And all Trigger Lock kits make those windshields adjustable so you can custom-position them every time. It’s made believers of Yamaha Roadliner, Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and Honda VTX 1300 riders everywhere. Those were the first Trigger Lock applications offered.
     All that just got better. Memphis Shades has just released–no pun–brand-new Multi-fit kits for the Trigger Lock. A patent pending Memphis Shades original design, new fork clamps allow the Trigger Lock and all its quick-release and adjustability features to mount on a wide variety of bikes. The Trigger Lock, already a good seller, just became a great seller with a much larger market.
     This Multi-fit system is a totally new concept from Memphis Shades. It uses a completely new fork-clamp design, a clean and sophisticated aluminum extrusion CNC machined to provide a unique adjustment feature, and it’ll fit a number of different fork sizes. At present these clamps are available to fit forks from 35 mm to 42 mm in diameter with more sizes on the way. They’re designed especially to accept the Trigger Lock, cleverly incorporating a “slot nut” machined to fit right into the clamp itself. Everything’s there, the windshield height adjustment, the rake angle adjustment, the works. It has everything that made the original Bracket Mount Trigger Lock systems so popular. The first Multi-fit Trigger Lock Clamp kits are available right now, already shipped to the Parts Unlimited warehouses.
     Any Memphis Shades windshield fits right up to these Multi-fit quick-release clamp kits, just as they do to the original Bracket Mount Trigger Lock systems. The same Memphis Shades windshields you’ve always sold can now work better than ever. Don’t confuse the Trigger Lock with any of those old, unreliable friction-mount quick release systems you’ve seen, either. They invariably loosen up over time. That’s not the case here. Once you’ve pulled down the lever on these Memphis Shades over-center latches they click and lock shut. That windshield isn’t going anywhere. Releasing the lock is just as easy, and everything from the mounting hardware and clamps to the polymer bushings and glass filled Nylon latches themselves are built to last. And the beauty of it all is that any windshield can be custom-mounted, adjusted either up or down to a rider’s preference and this is the only quick-release mounting system that offers a minimum of 8-degrees windshield rake adjustment, for forward or rearward pitch. Every installation can be quickly and easily fine-tuned to perfection. With a Trigger Lock you can custom-tailor the windshield to the bike and the rider on it, and with the new Multi-fit Fork Clamp kits that custom tailoring can happen on lots more applications.
