or far too long rain gear for motorcyclists has been an afterthought and most rain gear looks like little more then a plastic bag with sleeves and legs attached. Arlen Ness has always been focused on function, technology and style. Whether we’re talking about his award winning custom motorcycles or the amazing line of Arlen Ness riding gear, it always looks good and works right. Now Arlen Ness Apparel has applied the same philosophy of looking good and working right to rain gear for riders.
The new Wingate Rain Gear from Arlen Ness Apparel makes riding in the rain look good. The jacket is made of a high-quality waterproof nylon with a mesh liner and heat-sealed YKK zippers throughout. The highly reflective piping along the arms and back yoke as well as a highly reflective Arlen Ness patch on the mid back keeps riders visible in poor conditions. Riders will stay dry thanks to heat-sealed seams and a stored hood along the collar with snap closure, plus an adjustable cinch on each side along the bottom to seal the deal. Storage includes two chest pockets with heat-sealed zippers and two side pockets with waterproof Velcro flaps.
The Wingate pants complete the rain proofing with an adjustable elastic waist with a Velcro enclosure and heat sealed zippers along both legs with Velcro flap closures. There are also heat shields along both lower legs, reinforced knees and elastic stirrups at the bottom of each leg. Reflective piping along each outer leg adds to rider visibility by other drivers. The whole package, jacket and pants retail for only $174.95 and come with a nylon storage bag.
A lot of riders use their bike as a daily driver, even in the rain. Plus, touring often requires cruising along in a cloudburst. So, why not look as good as your ride when it’s raining? With the new Arlen Ness Wingate rain gear, riders will be dry and styling. Talk to your Parts Unlimited rep for more details.
