K Chain doesn’t make excuses. When it comes to connecting high-horsepower motorcycle engines to the rear wheel EK has become the winner’s chain of choice. Chris Carr just set a World Motorcycle Land Speed Record of 350.884 mph piloting the BUB Enterprises Streamliner, EK Chain equipped. At Bonneville there’s no room for second best, which was why Denis Manning and the BUB Team chose EK Chain for their record setting two-wheeler.
Now it’s unlikely that many Bonneville record setters will come to the counter asking for a chain, but it’s a sure bet plenty of sportbike riders, MX racers, ATV enthusiasts and everyday street riders will. And for them EK Chain has what’s needed every time. Starting with the EK ZZZ Series sportbike chains, this year they’re all available in more sizes then ever, too.
EK’s ZZZ Series Sport Bike Chains are now offered in 520, 525 and 530 sizes. That 530ZZZ is the strongest chain on the market, too. There’s up to 11,000-pounds of tensile strength here, more than enough to deliver the power generated by the biggest, baddest and best performing sportbikes on the road. The EK ZZZ is all about performance. A Quadra-X Ring Design, it increases chain life and reduces friction allowing for maximum transfer of power. This is the chain used on that BUB Streamliner. Strong enough there, it’s going to be more than strong enough on the street. The ZZZ Series chains are available in 120- to 160-link lengths, offered in 10-link increments, and they’re available in chrome, metallic gold or metallic silver colors.
Don’t need that kind of strength? The 530ZVX2 is the best selling extreme sportbike chain EK has ever produced. It’s no lightweight, either. This one’s rated with a tensile strength of up to 10,560-pounds. The Quadra-X Ring Design is here, too, and the ZVX2 Series sportbike chains are offered in gold, chrome, black, red, blue, green or yellow colors in 120- to 160-link lengths, once again in 10-link increments.
It isn’t all streetbikes with EK Chain, either. Team Factory Connection Honda races with EK, with no chain-related DNFs. EK’s MRD6 and MRDL6 Series motocross chains are incredibly strong, they’re lightweight and the connecting pins feature EK’s exclusive CRH Treatment for increased strength and reduced wear. And they look cool. The 520 MRD6 and 520 MRDL6 are available in gold, red, blue, green or yellow colors, trick-looking power transfer for any serious MXer. EK’s Off-Road, ATV and Recreational Chains leave nothing to chance, either. The SRX and MVXZ Series chains feature that Quadra-X Ring Design for long life, reduced friction and maximum performance, while the SRO5 and SROZ Series chains are always great choices in an economical, O-Ring design. All EK Off-Road/MX chains are available in the most popular sizes.
Getting the picture? EK Chain has it all and Parts Unlimited has EK Chain. Even the EK Chains for extreme drag racers, the only chains made specifically for drag racing. We’re talking tensile strengths up to 30,000-pounds here, the kind of chain Larry McBride uses for his 240 mph passes. EK’s Drag Racing Chains, incidentally, include the 530DR2, 530DRZ2, 630, 630MS, 630SHB and the 630SHBZ. Needless to say, no excuses here, either. Have customers asking about chains? That’s easy, show them EK. Parts Unlimited carries the full lineup, so talk to your rep for more information.
