or most of its history, the Sportster has never been confused with a touring bike. With the introduction of rubber-mounted XLs, however, that’s changing. More and more Sporty riders are taking their bikes on longer and longer rides, but they’re finding the stock seat isn’t up to the job. That’s why Drag Specialties is introducing a complete line of Low-Profile Double Bucket seats for 2004-2007 Sportsters.
They come in four styles: a stitched version with a smooth seating surface, a classic design with pleats running from side to side, a version with flame stitching on the front and back, and a pillow version with a memory-foam pad that conforms to your seating position and retains that shape for some time.
All but the pillow seat use top-grain solar reflective leather that doesn’t get hot in the sun. All models have thermoformed plastic seat bases that are carpeted to protect fender paint, and use custom-molded urethane foam.
Because each seat fits close to the gas tank, each of the four styles is available in two applications, for the Custom (with a larger tank) and the Roadster (with a smaller tank). Customers have grown to recognize that Drag Specialties logo and they trust in the fact that any product sporting said logo is constructed with top quality and performance in mind. Check the 2007 FatBook for details and part numbers and call your Drag Specialties rep to get Drag Specialties seats in your store today!
