here have been big changes taking place at Samson over the past few years. All good. Ever the innovators (these are the guys who all-but-invented “True Duals”) Samson has continued the move forward and come out with plenty of hot new styles and applications for 2007. They’ve upgraded and updated lots of the old favorites, too, all the while keeping a sharp eye and keen ear on those ever-expanding EPA regulations. On top of all that Samson just moved into a brand-new manufacturing plant/R&D center/corporate headquarters in Brea, California, a new shop where everyone’s poised to streamline and specialize everything they do, and they’re doing plenty!
All these big changes and big moves have led to this: Samson has just announced the total revamp of their entire product line. In tune with modern times, every Samson pipe, muffler and system that doesn’t accept a baffle is out. Exhaust sound has jumped to Number 1 on the “noise police” hit parade and Samson has responded. Samson’s Veritech baffle, integral to many of these new pipes, cuts the sound without cutting the tone and demonstrably increases performance. That’s a heck of a combination. And any Samson pipe or system that’s had its day is now gone, no longer kept around to clog up the manufacturing lines or your inventory. All the hot sellers, on the other hand, just got hotter. They’ve all been re-engineered to the same high standards as the fantastically successful Big Guns 3. The list of revamps here includes the Long Fishtails, the Over and Under Fishtails, Side by Side Fishtails, the Upswept Fishtails, Boloney Pipes, Staggered Drag Pipes and a whole range of all-new True Dual Systems for the baggers.
Ah yes, those new “True Duals.” Bagger exhausts, of course, are red hot right now. Samson has some beauties for ‘07. Brand-new is an extra long “Longtail Fishtail.” They call ‘em the Cholo’s, with applications for Softails from ‘95 to present. These wild looking pipes are over-the-top cool. The Cholo’s extra-long look hits a market niche you’d figure Samson could identify. These pipes are available in a couple of finishes, too–bright chrome or black chrome. Samson’s really nailed it here. The 30-in. Dual Fishtails extend way past the rear fender, “clear into the next county” as Samson puts it. The entire head pipe is covered by a 220-degree heat shield, a just-right 2 1/4-in. diameter that’s neither too fat nor too skinny. The Cholo’s integrated baffles (the Varitechs) are performance-friendly, too, and perfectly tuned to modern FI systems. They sound wonderful and demonstrate Samson’s ongoing commitment to EPA issues. Put all this together, in either bright chrome or black, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a “True Dual” Fishtail statement.
You’ve got an easy-to-sell system, too. Samson’s All-In-One-Pricing, another innovation, lets your customer pick the look he wants without the worries of any add-on pricing. The True Duals, in any length, tip style or finish, are all priced the same. No ups, no adds. You can count on them all being in stock, too; Samson enjoys one of the highest fill-rates in the industry, and has for years. That’s something that hasn’t changed. It’s all available through Drag Specialties and there’s a lot more to come. Stay tuned. Top to bottom Samson has revamped, and your Harley pipe business never looked better!

Busy times at Samson nowadays. A move to new location, clearing out slow movers in the line and getting new applications ready for the 2007 model Harleys. Then in their space time they came up with the all-new Cholos, an exhust style that extends well beyond the rear fender of the bike. It's a whole new look.
