Wiseco has what it takes to add even more power and performance to all those popular 4-stroke bike and ATVs. Ask your Parts Unlimited rep for more information on all the high-performance replacement pistons Wiseco has to offer.

t didn’t take long for the 4-strokes to dominate the dirt. It didn’t take long for Wiseco, one of the best-known piston manufacturers in the world, to come up with performance pistons upping the ante, either. Wiseco pistons make those hyper-performing 4-strokes even more powerful and responsive. Race teams everywhere, big and small, factory and privateer, look to Wiseco for the latest in piston technology–and find it. Start to finish, Wiseco has complete control over its piston manufacturing. From the design stage to the makeup of the alloys used to the in-house forging of those pistons to the specialized tooling to assure strength, light weight and reliability, it’s all Wiseco. Wiseco demands the best and merely good enough isn’t; each piston must be perfect. Every high-performance replacement piston Wiseco makes is extensively tested, too, right on Wiseco’s in-house dyno and then out in the real world on the tracks and trails.
Modern 4-stroke off-road engines are remarkable machines. They’re also pretty highly stressed, and they’re not bulletproof. The service intervals are more closely spaced than you’d think. Riders on those screaming 250s and the big, torquey 450s are going to be replacing pistons on a regular basis. Why not take that opportunity to make those fearsome 4-strokes even better? Upgrade to Wiseco. It’s a piston change factory tuners make right out of the box, and Wiseco has all the high-performance, high-compression replacements for all the 4-stroke bikes and ATVs, Big Four and European. Take a look at just a sample of what’s new from Wiseco. All this and plenty more is available right now through Parts Unlimited and it’s all always in-stock for immediate shipment.

Wiseco’s piston for the 2004 to 2006 CRF250R bumps the compression up .5 point for instant throttle response. An improved dome design optimizes flame travel and combustion efficiency, and a reduced-drag/two-ring design maximizes oil control. There’s a pressure seal groove below the top ring to reduce the build up of gases underneath the top ring that can cause blow-by, and the piston’s skirt is specially coated for reduced friction and added protection. Wiseco has also included horizontal-slot pin oiling for improved lubrication on the upper rod and the wrist pin bore, and the wrist pin itself is hard-chrome plated. The piston is available in a standard compression ratio, as well.
For the 2006 TRX450R Wiseco has a new 12:1 high compression piston. There’s an improved dome design here, too, and once again Wiseco has included horizontal-slot pin oiling. The piston’s dedicated forging combines light weight with unmatched strength and a three-ring design maximizes compression sealing and oil control. This piston also utilizes that pressure seal groove below the top ring. Of course the skirt is specially coated for reduced friction and extra protection, and there’s a hard-chrome finish on the wrist pin. All this is also available in a stock compression ratio.

For the 2005 to 2006 KTM250SX-F Wiseco now has a 13.5:1 ratio high-compression piston. There’s the improved Wiseco-design dome for instant throttle response, there’s a two-ring configuration to reduce drag while maximizing the seal and there’s the lateral gas port to eliminate blow-by. Of course the KTM piston skirt is coated, the horizontal-slot pin oiling is included and this lightweight design is offered in a standard compression ratio as well a 2mm oversize for both compression options.

Wiseco has the good stuff for the 2006 LTR450. There’s a 13.5:1 compression ratio piston with all the upgrades. Once again Wiseco’s improved dome design optimizes flame travel and combustion efficiency, there’s the horizontal-slot pin oiling for improved lubrication and Wiseco has made the piston lightweight and designed in unmatched strength. This three-ring piston also has that pressure seal groove to combat blow-by. Here, too, the skirt is coated and this piston is available in a stock compression ratio with a 2.5mm oversize offered with either compression ratio.

For the 2005 to 2006 YZ250F Wiseco has a new high compression piston with a 13.5:1 ratio. There’s an improved dome design and a low drag/maximum seal two-ring configuration, along with lateral gas ports to eliminate blow-by during high-RPM running. The piston has that pressure seal groove below the top ring to reduce the build up of gases underneath the top ring, there’s horizontal-slot pin oiling, light weight and Wiseco strength. The skirt is coated for reduced friction, the wrist pin is hard-chrome plated and this piston is available in a stock compression ratio, too, as well as a 2mm oversize in both ratios.
For the 2006 Raptor 700 Wiseco’s 11:1 high compression piston has all the upgrades and redesigns. There’s that improved dome design, the horizontal-slot pin oiling, light weight and unmatched strength. Here, too, the skirt is coated for reduced friction and added protection and Wiseco has included a hard-chrome plated wrist pin. This piston’s three-ring design optimizes compression sealing and oil control and it, too, features a pressure seal groove below the top ring to reduce blow by. This piston is available in a stock compression ratio, as well as a 2mm oversize in both ratios.
