he supermarkets do it. So do all the convenience stores. Want to increase sales on those impulse-buy items, the small stuff riders know they need but don’t think about until it’s staring them in the face? Follow the lead of those major retailers and put those items up on the counter, preferably right next to the checkout area. Sales will skyrocket.
And Motion Pro has lots of stuff to put up there. Mostly packed in freestanding cardboard displays also hole-punched for pegboard hanging, it all looks good. Set out in front of a customer who already has his wallet out, it will look good to him, too. Things like the new Motion Pro Seal Mate, displayed on a card of 12, will turn on the light bulb for a rider wanting to keep his bike’s fork seals clean and debris free. The Motion Pro Magnetic Finger Glove, packaged on a card of 6, will catch a rider’s attention as well, especially if he’s just spent a half hour fishing for a small fastener dropped into an all-but-inaccessible crevice on his bike or ATV. And on the subject of fasteners, try putting the Motion Pro Tool Pack Hardware Kits out on the counter. Displayed on a card of 12, each Hardware Kit includes a bagful of the most popular sizes of nuts, bolts, washers and screws needed for routine off-road repairs. Tucked away in a tool pouch, the Hardware Kit will come in handy for all riders some day!
No one comes into the shop looking for impulse-buy items. When they see them, though, chances are good they’ll also see the need, the benefit and throw them in with the rest of the purchase. It’s a sales tactic that works at Wal-mart, the most successful retailer on the planet. Can you do better? Check out those Motion Pro Counter Displays. Parts Unlimited has them all.
