rogressive Suspension’s 512 Series shocks were the first aftermarket shocks ever made specifically for the Utility ATVs, and if there’s a single piece of powersport equipment that needs good shocks, strong springs and predictable damping it’s those Utility ATVs. Heavy loads over rough terrain can take a toll on an ordinary suspension system, but there’s nothing ordinary about the Progressive Suspension 512s. An upgrade in every sense of the word, the 512 Series shocks are as tough as the machines they’re made for.
The feature-list here starts with progressive-rate springs for a safe, comfortable ride in all conditions with improved load stability overall. There’s a 5-position spring pre-load adjustment, too. The 512s can be custom tuned to the job at hand. More than that, the 512 Series shocks use vastly improved spring rates for carrying those heavier loads with no sacrifice in handling. For more travel and improved ground clearance there’s an increased length here, as well. With the 512 Series shocks mounted and custom adjusted, carrying those hay bales or mounting a plow happens without a second thought.
The 512 Series shocks come with velocity-sensitive damping for a smoother ride, and the shocks are gas charged to ensure damping consistency. Progressive Suspension has even equipped the 512s with shock “Sox” to help keep the springs and adjusters squeaky clean and working at their best in the dirtiest conditions. The 512s have undergone some pretty extensive R&D to make sure this is the finest possible suspension you can put under a workhorse Utility ATV.
Progressive Suspension’s 512 Series shocks are available for all the Utility ATVs, machines like the Honda Recons, Ranchers and Rubicons, Kawasaki’s Prairies, Suzuki’s King Quads, Quad Racers and Quad Runners and of course the Yamaha Banshee. Parts Unlimited carries them all. If a Utility ATV is going to carry anything at all it’ll do it better when the suspension is a 512 Series upgrade.
