All that is now available for super-street and track-bound sportbikes. Those ultra-fast machines can now benefit from the precise control-feel of the Motion Pro T2 Cables, too. The success and acceptance of the T2 Cable Series in off-road racing made the development of these T2s for sportbikes a natural step. It’s the latest addition to Motion Pro’s growing line of performance cables. The T2 Sportbike Clutch Cables are go-with-anything neutral gray and feature Motion Pro’s “longitudinally-wound” housing. It’s a major part of the T2 design. The longitudinally-wound housing resists compression and the result is a precise and easy-to-operate clutch. Sportbikes with big-displacement motors and high-performance clutches really benefit when that “spongy” clutch-lever feel is eliminated and the Motion Pro T2s do just that. Engagement becomes a lot more precise and predictable. The matching T2 Throttle Cables feature tempered-steel “coil-wound” 6mm housings with a tough 1.5mm inner wire for strength and durability. The T2 Sportbike Cables are available in easy-fit specific applications and replacements are available separately. Everything’s packaged in good looking and eye-catching kits to boost sales, and the pricing is right. The T2 Sportbike Cable Kits start at $35. They’re already being used and endorsed by Team Graves Yamaha and Austin Ducati’s Eric Bostrom. Good enough? Here’s something else new. Motion Pro’s T-6 Superlight Hex Axel Tool, that handy and lightweight aluminum take-along tool ideal for off-road tool packs and touring tool kits alike, now has a home-and-shop companion. It’s the Cro-Mo Hex Axle Tool. Just as handy as the lightweight original, the Cro-Mo is made with heavy-duty heat treated 4130 chrome-moly. Both tool models, the original T-6 Superlight and the heavy-duty Cro-Mo, include four metric hex sizes: 17-, 19-, 22- and 24mm with a 3/8-in. square drive on both ends. The tools fit the internal hex on many late-model sportbikes and dirtbikes. Motion Pro is always coming up with stuff like this, and it’s always the kind of things riders need. Parts Unlimited carries it all. |
