All current Memphis Shades windshields will fit this new quick-release trigger-lock mounting hardware.

This new Memphis Shades mounting system makes changing and mounting those Memphis Shades windshields faster and easier than ever…no tools needed!

lip a couple latches shut and you’ve just put on a Memphis Shades windshield. Take a look at the first of a whole new generation of mounting kits from Memphis Shades.
A brand-new Memphis Shades mounting system, just out, uses a pair of spring-loaded thumb-operated latches to mount those Memphis Shades windshields quicker than ever, just as securely as ever, and switch from one to another without tools. The new mounting hardware is currently available for the 2006 Yamaha Roadliner and will be available soon for the Honda VTX1300 Retro but all future Memphis Shades mounting kits will use the new design. Any Memphis Shades windshield currently in use, whether its a Memphis Fats, Memphis Slim or Sportshield, fits right up to this quick release trigger-lock mounting hardware, too. There’s no windshield redesign here, it’s all in the hardware. The same Memphis Shades windshields you’ve sold for years now work better than ever.
The Memphis Shades trigger-lock mount has a streamlined look, it’s clean, simple and elegant in its design and operation–and it’s secure. This isn’t like some rubber mounts that can loosen up over time, even to the point of actually letting the windshield lift right off the motorcycle at highway speeds. There’s no chance of that happening here. Once those Memphis Shades latches click shut they’re locked shut. The windshield is solidly held in place until you flip those latches open on purpose. Everything is solidly made, too. From the aluminum anchoring hardware to the Delrin bushings to the tough glass filled Nylon latches themselves it’s all built to last.
The new Memphis Shades trigger-lock mount debuts with the 2006 Yamaha Roadliner, and it’s a good choice. For starters the one available OE-accessory Yamaha windshield is priced at over $600, more than double the price of a Memphis Shades setup, and only comes in one size–23-inches tall. The Memphis Fats windshields are offered in four sizes, a 15-inch model, a 17-inch model, a 19-inch model and a 21-inch model and there are plenty of size options in all the Memphis Slim and Sportshield models as well, and they’re all available in the all the gradient tint colors. That Yamaha OE accessory windshield doesn’t adjust, either. Where it mounts is where it stays, whether that’s right for the rider or not. The Memphis Shades trigger-lock system, in addition to accommodating all those windshield sizes and color options, adjusts vertically either up or down and this is the only detachable system made anywhere that offers adjustment of forward or rearward pitch-a full 12 degrees. With a Memphis Shades windshield on a new trigger-lock mount you can custom-tailor the windshield fit to the bike and the rider on it. That’s huge.
The new trigger-lock mounting system is currently available for the Yamaha Roadliner and hardware for the Honda VTX1300 Retro is soon to follow. Memphis Shades will apply this new mounting technology to all future applications, too, and they’re already working on retrofit trigger-lock kits for about 20 of the most popular Memphis Shades applications. Quick-release just got quicker than ever. Call your Parts Unlimited rep for more information.
