e love reporting about projects. In the April/May issue of Parts Magazine, we introduced a special kind of project that is currently going on, one that is more than just a project bike, it’s about a bike and its rider Ben Asaff. As we reported in Part I, Asaff, a New Hampshire-based sales rep for Parts Unlimited is an experienced motocross rider who has made the field in the past at the National level. Injuries and his involvement in sales have curtailed Ben’s racing activities lately, but his desire to have one more good shot at his favorite race track has set everything in motion with what we are calling “The Southwick Project.”
With Asaff in the saddle, veteran motorsport tuner and sponsor Quint Boisvert providing the machine, workshop and technical know-how, numerous Parts Unlimited vendors sending out some product upgrades, and some of the Parts Unlimited staff volunteering additional support, the goal is to get Ben qualified for the field at the upcoming AMA MX National at Southwick, Mass.

Parts Unlimited’s Don Gonzalez volunteers to assist with the installation process.

Boisvert is a former NASCAR tuner and car owner, but he jumped at the chance to help Ben achieve his goal at this year’s Southwick MX National.

Factory Connection has supported the project with some extensive modifications to the stock front forks and rear shock.
