Vance & Hines’ Fuelpak allows for simple do-it-yourself injection mapping. The Fuelpak is easy to install and use, snapping right into the factory wiring harness and onto the factory ECU. Vance & Hines takes over from there, eliminating the guesswork and telling you exactly what values to punch in and where. Simple as that!

he fuel-delivery programs in a factory-Harley Electronic Control Unit (ECU) go right out the window when you change anything on an injected motorcycle–the pipes, the air filter, anything. That’s no secret, and that’s why the aftermarket is chock-full of fully programmable replacement ECUs and attachment units that piggyback onto the factory ECU allowing custom fuel-management programs to be written for that now-modified bike. And they’re all great–if you’re more than a little computer savvy, maybe have the Geek Squad on direct-dial and to get things really right have access to your own personal dyno to check and refine your new, laboriously written computer program. Who among us does that describe? Hardly anyone, right?
Vance & Hines has a better idea. The Vance & Hines plug-and-play Fuelpak is just about the easiest to use FI recalibration system you’ll find. The Fuelpak snaps right into the factory wiring harness and onto the factory ECU and from there Vance & Hines takes over, telling you exactly what values to punch in and where to punch them in depending upon the bike you’re tuning and the new, aftermarket pipes you’ve just installed–both Vance & Hines and a list of others including Harley’s own Screamin’ Eagle systems. There’s no guesswork on your part. All the combinations have been dyno- and street-tested by Vance & Hines and proven correct, to be the fuel-delivery settings that will result in the best performance from idle to full-throttle. And the Fuelpak is forever. This isn’t some one-time thing; if you decide to ever change some of the hardware in your current configuration, switch pipes for instance, all you have to do is jump on the Vance & Hines web site to look-up your new setting and then update your Fuelpak to reflect the changes. Simple as that.
As simple as the Fuelpak is to install and use there’s nothing simple about what it does. This isn’t some quick fix “low-speed”/ “mid-range”/ “top-end” band-aid slapped over the factory ECU settings. Far from it. The Vance & Hines Fuelpak precisely recalibrates the fuel-delivery settings everywhere from the closed-throttle idle position to wide-open throttle, and does it with specific value recommendations for 18 separate “mode” positions. Depending on the bike and the hardware mounted, some of those mode positions will require adding a bit of fuel or maybe even taking some away to arrive at the perfect overall performance setting, and all that’s done with just three buttons on the Fuelpak’s face. There are digital readout windows letting you know exactly what mode you’re adjusting and what your adjustments are, either plus or minus a certain value number. And Vance & Hines has worked out all the numbers. All you have to do is follow along and push those buttons. The Fuelpak provides you with ease, convenience and flexibility like no other Fuel Injection Management System on the market. There’s no guesswork, and no computers or dynamometers are needed.
The Vance & Hines Fuelpak is available for every fuel-injected Harley that needs one. There are units for the 2001-2006 Softails, the 2002-2006 touring models, the 2004-2006 Dynas and the 2002-2006 V-Rods. No guesswork, perfect fuel delivery every time and you can do it all yourself.
