Tommy Grimes of the Samson/Ray Price Nitro Harley Race Team is currently the world record holder on a Nitro Harley.

ast year, Samson was named as the main sponsor of the Ray Price drag race team. This year, the motorcycle industry will begin to benefit from this new relationship with the introduction of the new “Black Chrome” Caliber 2-into-1, the Ray Price Limited Edition Collector Series, an exhaust system that screams performance. It does it with total, unmistakable style. Its deep and dark signature-Caliber tone unobtrusively gets that performance message across with no mistake, too, and the look–well, there’s just nothing else quite like it. For a no-fooling, purposeful appearance Caliber’s new Black Chrome finish is in a class by itself. It’s a tough look, not to mention being a plenty tough finish itself. Black Chrome on a set of performance pipes is a perfect match, and now Caliber has it.
There’s more than just that dark and handsome look going on here, too. The Black Chrome Ray Price Limited Edition Collector Series Caliber 2-into-1 is a true performance exhaust by any measure. It’s a Caliber, which means this pipe backs up its bark with plenty of bite. The Caliber 2-into-1 combines proven step-header technology with the also-proven performance gains of a 2-into-1 collector design. Combine those twin pipe-tuning techniques and this package becomes a power- and torque-building monster. Dyno testing has shown gains of up to 25% over stock with the Caliber, and when fit to big-inch engines the gains are even more impressive. And don’t forget about the patented Varitech baffle inside. It’s included in the system, an integral part of this whole design, and that Varitech further speeds up the flow and literally sucks exhaust out of the engine. Put all that together and it makes for one truly awesome V-twin exhaust. And in Black Chrome it’s coming with a look that can’t be beat.
Of course that new Black Chrome Ray Price Limited Edition 2-into-1 isn’t going to be everyone’s particular cup of tea, or the exhaust look that’s perfect for every bike. No worries. All that Caliber 2-into-1 performance–the step-headers, the Varitech baffle, everything–is available in Bright Chrome, too. And if a 2-into-1 doesn’t do it there are step-header Calibers in lots of other styles, pipes perfect for every bike. There are Caliber True Dual step-header systems for the Road Kings and dressers, there’s the original Caliber Drag Pipe systems for all the Sportsters, Softails and Dynas from 1986 to the newest ‘06 models, there are even Caliber Over & Unders for a timeless, custom look. And all of them, the True Duals, the Drag Pipes and the Over & Unders, come neatly wrapped and protected in bright and shiny 2 1/2-inch full coverage chrome heat shields, heat shields so good looking and tight fitting they’re almost impossible to detect. Underneath those heat shields the Calibers all feature the same power-packed stepped-header design, boosting horsepower and torque through the roof. And every Caliber, no matter the style, application or finish, comes with one of the best warranties in the business.
Looks, sounds, and warranties aside, the real proof is in the rideability, and that’s what Caliber pipes–all of them–are about. Ever since their introduction just a couple years back the Caliber pipes have consistently raised the bar for V-twin performance and looks. And now with the new “Black Chrome” 2-into-1, the Ray Price Limited Edition Collector Series, they’ve done it again. Every Caliber exhaust is available through Drag Specialties and they’re in stock now.
