     The new Eclipse (modular helmet) from Z1R is an extremely high-tech design that lets you enjoy the look of a full-face helmet and the functionality of an open-face helmet. The new Eclipse has a chin-bar and shield that rotate up to allow the full-face helmet to take on the characteristics of an open-face design. And with the shield down in the full-face position an advanced ventilation system allows air to enter through the chin and forehead vents while exiting the rear exhaust ports for great airflow at speed.
     Like the Ace, versatility is the key to the Eclipse’s appeal. Ride with the face shield down for full-face coverage and protection. And, when stopped, it’s easy (one hand operation) to flip the visor up to drink a soda, converse with your buddies, or read a GPS, without taking your helmet off. And, like all Z1R helmets the plush interior provides maximum comfort while the padded neck curtain and removable chin curtain reduce wind noise.
     Features on the Eclipse include a modular design and a FRP Composite shell which exceeds DOT standards. Like all Z1R helmets, comfort is a priority with its plush padded interior and an adjustable ventilation system for hot and cold days. Switching shields is made easy, thanks to the “no-tool” quick release shield system. And the Eclipse comes standard with a scratch resistant, optically correct polycarbonate shield.
     The new Eclipse is offered in a variety of sizes to fit almost anyone, with sizes from XS to XXL. Colors include Black, Pearl White, Candy Red, Silver, Anthracite Candy Red, and Silver Anthracite.
