The FMF Q2 is the second generation of Q Series mufflers, with a completely new design with engineering geared towards solving today’s noise level issues. The Q2 offers low sound, without sacrificing performance.

FMF’s Ti-Powercore titanium slip-on is a high-performance and lightweight pipe. Quiet insert also available.

The STM/FMF CEB Slipper Clutch is now available through Parts Unlimited! Top factory riders have been using this secret weapon for years, and now your customers can too.

The Factory 4.1 is a top of the line race system for ultimate performance. Quiet and/or spark arrestor inserts available for this system as well.

Don’t forget about those popular utility quads! Make sure and show your customers the Powerline from FMF.

MF is one of the leading performance companies in the motorcycle industry and has been for a long time. It began in the 1960’s when Donnie Emler was himself a top local racer discouraged with the performance of stock machinery. Emler worked on his own bikes in the never-ending quest for power. His bikes were so fast that other racers started asking Donnie to work on their equipment. Emler founded FMF in 1973 and immediately FMF-enhanced bikes started winning championships. The best teams and the best riders flocked to FMF over the years in their own quest for speed and victory. And FMF is still a winner today, sponsoring riders and teams in almost every facet of motorcycle racing in the United States and around the world.
FMF originally went racing to win titles, and they keep racing for the same reason. Plus, race testing just makes their products better for the customer. For FMF customers, there is no “trickle down” effect; it’s more of a direct effect. Any customer can get very close to the same exhaust system or CEB clutch system that any one of their favorite racers use on their own bikes.
Involvement in professional and amateur racing simply lends itself to increased development of products for the general end-user. A good example is the “Quiet” revolution. FMF has always been heavily involved with off-road racing and off-road events and were the first to develop some silencing of sound with performance-oriented exhaust. FMF worked with various individuals (including legends like Malcolm Smith) to refine the ‘original Q,’ which has evolved into the Q2 and Titanium Q. The process goes on as FMF works to develop even more “quiet power” with the Q line. Each motorcycle and ATV is tested with multiple and varied internal configurations, incredible amounts of packing materials are sampled and analyzed, and dyno tests conducted. Then various brackets and other mounting refinements are tested for light-weight and durability. And finally the exhausts are used on race machines in events like the GNCC and the WORCS Series before they’re available to your customers. If you follow other forms of professional racing, you are by now well aware that the ‘sound revolution’ is no longer limited to off-road racing. FMF continues to be at the forefront, as evidenced by their involvement with AMA National sponsorship and their commitment at every Supercross or Outdoor National event to assist every FMF rider (as well as some others!) in obtaining sound testing compliance while maintaining race level performance.
There are a growing number of off-road riders and racers who now own some sort of Q and a 4.1 or other “moto muffler” and actually swap as needed depending on event and/or course conditions. When sound is an issue, they run with the (lighter and more powerful then stock) Q2 or Ti Q, and when it is not, they easily switch to the 4.1 for added power and lighter weight.
Competitive racing has brought cause for other FMF products as well, like their new STM/FMF CEB Slipper Clutch System. A unique and highly effective engine-to clutch-to rear wheel power management system; it’s the only one of its kind currently available and currently in use throughout the world. When the throttle is closed after acceleration, internal mechanisms and sophisticated springs trigger the clutch to release and decreases unwanted engine braking. Already in use by top factory riders and teams, it decreases lap times, inhibits engine stalling, increases corner speed and solidifies holeshots. This further helps create neutral jumping characteristics by decreasing rear wheel drag and unbinding the resulting suspension load felt on most four strokes in ‘throttle off’ conditions.
Another race track innovation is the new Ti-Powercore, a slip-on made with titanium for only $299.99. FMF sees this as the perfect “track day” pipe–high performance, lightweight, replete with spark arrestor insert included (less than 10 seconds to remove or install). A straight through core and can/end cap shapes help knock sharp decibel sound down. While the Ti-Powercore is not a 96 db developed pipe, it is still relatively quiet and effectively approaches 99 -100 db for many applications plus there is a quiet insert also!
Don't forget FMF’s upper end race systems like the Factory 4.1. The Factory 4.1 was derived from FMF’s successful Factory 4. The Factory 4.1 is an all new muffler design. The Factory 4.1 oval muffler is constructed from military grade titanium utilizing an angle cut end cap and offered in either a natural or anodized blue finish. The performance characteristics start with a formed tapered inlet leading into the muffler. The oval shape combined with the tapered inlet allows the muffler to be routed further forward without interfering with the frame, sub-frame, shock, rear wheel or brake. FMF’s Factory Forward Engineering lowers and centralizes the machine’s center of gravity for improved handling without sacrificing silencer volume and durability. In fact, due to FMF’s patented “chamber core internals” silencer volume and most importantly, performance is increased. And with its new formed end cap and fixed aluminum mounting brackets, the muffler is less susceptible to damage. The Factory 4.1 has quiet and/or spark arrestor inserts available for the mufflers as well.
FMF now has pipes for the “side-by siders” too, like the Rhino (660 & 450), Polaris Ranger XP and Arctic Cat Prowler. Important to note: these are extremely durable, have held up quite well given how these machines are typically used off-road and do not melt or blow out!
Many utility quads are put to part-time use off-roading; FMF’s Powerline is the ideal solution for this situation. No maintenance required (no matter how used), increased torque and overall power without a lot of noise, so no need to swap mufflers on utility quads due to type of use. And they incorporate a spark arrestor too, so no ‘add-ons’ needed.
