  The
new right-side drive Big Guns 3 from Samson will fit all Softails
from ’86-’06, and work with all of the RSD packages on
the market. These new RSD pipes are pure Samson, bringing that great
Big Guns 3 sound and performance to a new application. These BG3s
come standard with integrated smooth-flow baffles, and there’s

side drive is an all around good deal. With RSD in the package a custom
can be much more balanced overall, in both the looks and handling departments.
There is one glitch, though, and that’s getting a good-looking exhaust
system to clear that right-side-drive assembly. Those 6-speed RSDs do tend
to stick out into the space normally occupied by the pipes. Now, if you’re
a famous builder with a TV crew in tow the solution’s a no-brainer;
bend up and weld-up some pipes for a one-off application, send it off for
chrome and then break for commercial. For the rest of us, however, well,
we’ve got a problem.Not anymore. Not with the new RSD Big Guns 3 from Samson. Samson has addressed this right-side-drive clearance/mounting problem straight on and come up with the answer. The new Right Side Drive Big Guns 3 have brackets that fit all Softails from 1986 right up to the newest 2006 models. The Samson Right Side Drive Big Guns 3 work with all the RSD packages on the market, too, even the JIMS and Baker 6-speeds. And it’s all an easy bolt on. Talk about a no-brainer. These RSD pipes are genuine Big Guns 3, too, the pipes that revolutionized motorcycle exhausts with their seamless 2 1/2-inch one-piece heat shields that absolutely prevent discoloration. The BG3s come standard with integrated smooth-flow baffles, too, for that deep and dark Samson rumble and peak performance in all applications. And since most of these RSD pipes will be installed on bikes with big motors Samson has designed an optional high-flow baffle to match. And all of this, with either the standard integrated smooth-flow baffles or the optional high-flow versions, sound off with a tone that’s not too loud for the street or the noise police.  Besides
fitting like a dream the RSD BG3s work like one. Those integral 2 1/2-in.
heat shields are lots more reliable than any clamp-on ‘shields,
making broken tab brackets and loose heat shields a thing of the past.
And the BG3s heat shields are complete; port-to-tip they eliminate the
possibility of any external bluing. The story’s just as good inside.
The Big Guns 3 are true step-header systems. They leave the ports with
a 1 3/4-in. head pipe diameter then step up to a free-flowing 2 1/4-in.
diameter to really get the exhaust moving. The BG3s are great for cylinder
scavenging and all-around engine efficiency. And just so there’s
no mistake a “BG3” logo is stamped on every pipe. The Big Guns
3 come with a full one-year warranty, too. All of this for a suggested
