That Rinehart 2-into-1, of course, is something dealers had long been asking for, and they got it–a real performance pipe for a Harley. It’s available for Softails, Dynas, FLs and the late-model Sportsters, and this new Rinehart 2-into-1 is on a par with or above absolutely anything else you might want to try. It’s exactly the kind of performance pipe you’d expect from Rinehart/Bub. The stepped pipes start at a 1 7/8-inch diameter then open to a 2-in. diameter before running into a tapered Megaphone Muffler tipped with a black-anodized billet aluminum Rinehart Signature end cap using new Multi-Angled Bell (MAB) technology for quicker throttle response and a real boost in horsepower and torque. And it sounds great with an unmistakable Rinehart tone. Little wonder these things were a hit. The new Slip Ons drew raves, too. This is a market Rinehart/Bub has been watching closely and just entered in a big way. With the simple removal of the stock mufflers and then a Rinehart replacement there’s a significant gain in power and a major bang for the buck. Development testing on a stock 38-horsepower Sportster brought that number to 51 with the Rinehart Slip Ons. These new Rineharts are gorgeous, too, and they sound great. There are standard length 3 1/4-inch Slip Ons for Sportsters, Dynas and Softails, and there are longer, 3 1/2-inch diameter versions for the FLs and Softail Deluxe. There are also Eagle Beaks for the FLs and the Softail Springer Classics, and that Eagle Beak is different than any other exhaust tip available. It isn’t a copy of anything; it’s an original, it’s unique and it works. And the Rinehart True Duals, already a popular exhaust, have increased the performance potential this year. These FL pipes have been made just a little quieter, too–with a welcome side effect. Experimenting with baffle designs to lower the overall sound level while retaining the quality of that sound, which of course has become a big issue of late, they picked up an additional three horsepower and four ft./lbs. of torque in the process. There’s a choice of end caps for these FL pipes, too, either the standard black-anodized billet aluminum Rinehart Signature tip or a chrome version. Empty claims and meaningless dyno numbers don’t work in the exhaust market anymore. These days it’s a competitive field with lots of choices; to succeed you need products that deliver. That’s Rinehart. Do the Rinehart pipes make big numbers on the dyno? Sure they do, but more importantly they make big smiles on the rider using them. These are pipes that let you feel the difference on the street, and that’s where it really counts. On top of that the Rineharts By Bub look good, sound great, they’re built to last and backed by a company that cares. They’re all available right now through Drag Specialties, so call your rep today. |
