Remember Kookie, the desert racing dog in the movie “On Any Sunday?” Back in the 1970s, Kookie was a popular fixture in off-road racing in California. Last November, “Opie” made his racing debut at the Elsinore Grand Prix and became the sport’s newest racing dog. All things considered, their speed on the track was respectable, although their pit stops were a little slow.
