couple more options were just added to the Shogun lineup, brand-new pipes joining that whole Warlords series of Cannons, Classics, Long Cannons, Street Sweepers, Slashers, Rip Saws, Shorties, Ground Pounders and Short Slashers. The new Shogun "Interceptors" and "Thunder Pro 2-into-1" systems, just released for 2006, will have your metric riders sitting up and taking notice. The Interceptors add the trouble-free good looks of integral full-coverage heat shields and the sweet sound of integral all-steel baffles to that already popular Ripsaw and Cannon style, and with the Thunder Pro 2-into-1 Shogun has brought serious performance to the metric table. This is a power-system designed, tuned, dyno- and street-tested especially for those big mega-cruisers, the VTX and Warrior.

     The Interceptors are hot and they'll be hot sellers. Patterned after Samson's recently released Big Guns 3, just like those Harley market BG3s the Interceptors feature integrated and completely seamless 2 1/2-in. one-piece/full-coverage heat shields. No clips, no brackets, these heat shields are a permanent part of the pipe. With this revolutionary heat shield design there's no chance of discoloration port to tip. The Interceptors will stay bright and shiny for years, and because the heat shields are integral with the pipes they'll never loosen up or rattle. The Interceptor has a great sound to go with that great look, too. The integrated smooth-flow baffles deliver the deep and powerful rumble cruiser riders want, a tone that's street savvy yet perfect for today's highways; the Interceptors won't attract all the wrong sort of attention. Noise has become an issue lately and the new Interceptor is a custom set of pipes for modern times. They're available for the Yamaha Stratoliner, the Stratoliner Midnight and the whole Star lineup. The Interceptors have a suggested retail that's more than competitive in the field, too, especially considering all that's included. Integrated heat shields, a big-pipe look, integrated baffles and a great tone...it's all right here in the Interceptor and Parts Unlimited has it.
     Then there's that Thunder Pro 2-into-1, the other new Shogun exhaust for '06. These brand-new power pipes are available for the Honda VTX and Yamaha Warrior and, coupled with a high-flow air filter upgrade and maybe some FI re-mapping they'll significantly boost the OE horsepower. The Thunder Pro 2-into-1 looks good, too. This pipe brings style along with that performance, and the performance is definitely there. This is a true high-performance exhaust for those big-displacement metrics. Extensive dyno- and street testing pointed the way to the right combination of pipe diameters and baffles for the best power curve across the board, from off-idle to redline and all points between. Those big Hondas and Yamahas are ground pounders to start with; add the new Shogun Thunder Pro 2-into-1 and you've just upped the ante.
