 arley
riders and their exhaust-system needs come in as many variations as the
motorcycles they're riding. Cruisers, customs, touring guys, performance
seekers - they're all part of that big mix, and keeping everyone
happy could be a daunting task. Could be, that is, if you had to flip
through every supplier's stack of catalogs every time a different
guy came in asking about a different set of pipes. Try to keep all that
straight and you'd have everyone hopelessly confused in no time
flat. It'd be nice if you could turn to just one supplier every
time - a supplier with the right set of pipes whether it was a cruiser,
a custom guy, a performance enthusiast or a long-distance touring rider
standing on the other side of the counter.
That
one supplier could be Samson. The lineup is long, deep and feature-packed.
Without making both you and your customer crazy in the search you'll
find exactly what's called-for most every time. It'll be
an easy sale, too, because along with all those pipe selections comes
everything to go with it. Name recognition? It's Samson- what
more needs to be said? Style and tone are Samson trademarks, so that's
covered. Manufacturing quality? An easy fit? A strong warranty? Check,
check and check. It's all there, and so is an attractive price,
which more often than not becomes the deciding factor. So if you haven't
already, take a good look at what Samson has to offer. Show it to your

ere
are some classic Samsons that are more popular than ever, and you can
chalk that up to the popularity of all FLSTSC/FLSTSCIs out on the road.
The Softail Springer Classic has built a strong following. Nostalgia
is in and these bikes have it in spades. That leading-link Springer front
end, those wide beach-style bars, the floorboards and even the taillight
are all reminiscent of days gone by. So is the factory crossover exhaust
system, sort of, because if there's one area on these bikes just
begging for improvement, that's it. And Samson has the improvement.
The Softail True Dual Fishtail exhaust is tailor made for these bikes.
That's
not surprising since Samson pretty much started the whole "True
Dual" craze. These Softail True Duals, however, are the only systems
available sporting that classic vintage-Harley look on the right side
while neatly routing the pipe for the left side. Samson's True
Duals really show off a V-twin engine, and when capped with a pair of
classic Fishtail tips this is a Softail exhaust as authentically correct
as it gets. And the look comes with a great sound.
Samson's
True Duals with Fishtails and the Softail Springer Classic are a perfect
match. It's timeless, and Samson's one-piece
heat shields will keep these pipes looking good for years to come. The
True Duals with Fishtails are available for Softails from 1995 on, and
there's even a choice of short or long mufflers. At a suggested
retail of $599.95 it's the best money anyone can spend on a Springer
Classic.
Now,
when you have a performance enthusiast in the store Samson's got him
covered, as well. Take a look at the whole...

bet Samson has performance pipes. The Caliber Series exhausts, the industry's
first four-step headers, are available for Softails, Dynas, Sportsters
and dressers and these pipes can bump horsepower by as much as 25-percent
over stock. That's huge, and the Calibers are offered in classic
Over & Under and the 2-Into-1 styles for Softails, Dynas and Sportsters
and there's a True Dual configuration for the Road Kings and dressers.
That Caliber true-dual "Dually" gets power-boosted even
more with Samson's Varitech baffles in the mufflers. The Varitech
speeds up the exhaust flow literally sucking out the exhaust. Combined
with the system's 4-Step headers, the effect is impressive. The
Caliber Duallys improve flow even more by eliminating the OE system's
rear scavenge pipe, and an added benefit here is even more airflow around
the rear cylinder for better cooling. And of course it sounds great.
Caliber
pipes can significantly improve street performance. Any bike they fit
gets "torque-ier", crisper, and lots more responsive.
These pipes look good, too, and have full-coverage heat shields to keep
them that way. The Caliber Duallys even follow the classic Harley layout,
ending at the perfect spot right behind the bags. Their 3-inch mufflers
are tipped with engraved aluminum end caps, too, chrome plated. Take
a good look at this lineup.
And
Samson's not sitting still, either. Times are changing and Samson's
changing with them, always innovating and introducing what's new
and hot. And that brings you right to the latest, the...
Samsons
popular Caliber Exhaust line offers the true quality and performance
that Harley riders expect. Not only do the Calibers boost horsepower
and torque, but they look great too!

The Caliber Duallys
feature the industrys first 4-Step design, which helps to improve
a bikes torque, response and overall street performance.

The Big
Guns 3 lineup is the latest from Samson. This third generation
of Big Guns exhausts now comes with integrated and seamless full
coverage heat shields and integrated smooth-flow baffles as well.
The Big Guns 3 lineup includes the Rip Saws and Slashers, along with
the Cannons and Street Sweepers.

ere’s
the third generation of those popular Samson Big Guns exhaust, and
there’s plenty that’s new and exciting.
Most definitely keeping that familiar Samson style and tone, the BG3s
come loaded with lots of new features, benefits and extras. Here’s
what’s
new: The Big Guns 3 continue the classic Samson style with the Cannons,
Street Sweepers, Rip Saws and Slashers, only now all that comes with
completely integrated and completely seamless 2 1/2-in. one-piece/full-coverage
heat shields. There’s no chance of any discoloration. The BG3s
come standard with integrated smooth-flow baffles, too, baffles delivering
a classic Samson rumble but this time not so loud as to attract all the
wrong attention. The BG3s are custom pipes for today’s motors and
riders.
Those BG3 2 1/2-in. permanent heat shields are a lot more reliable than
any old-style clamp-on heat shield. Broken tabs and rattling brackets
are a thing of the past. Because the BG3 heat shields are integrated
into the pipe design there’s nothing to wiggle loose or rattle
around, and because that coverage extends from port-to-tip there’s
no possibility of any bluing anywhere. The BG3s will keep a just-installed
look for years. And they’re lightweight. A set of BG3 weighs just
a fraction of what a comparable set of double-wall pipes would tip the
scales at.
There’s plenty going on under those heat shields, too. The Big
Guns 3 start with performance-proven 1 3/4-in. head pipes that step up
to a free-flowing 2 1/4-in. diameter to really move the exhaust. The
pipes are great for cylinder scavenging. And they feature those integrated
free-flow baffles, too; they’re built right in, they’re all
steel, there’s nothing to blow out or need re-packing. The BG3
baffles are a great match with modern fuel-injected engines, and for
the 2006 Dyna applications they even include the mounting bungs for the
closed-loop oxygen sensors. They’re positioned in precisely the
correct location, neither too deep nor too shallow.
And of course the BG3s sound great. They’re
not too loud, and definitely not too quiet. For added style the “BG3” logo
is stamped on every pipe so there’s no mistaking that these are
genuine Samsons. They come with a full one-year warranty, unique in the
industry, and the baffled and heat-shielded BG3 Cannons, Street Sweepers,
Slashers and Rip Saws are available for Softails from ‘86 to present
models, Dynas from the ‘91 models through the ‘06s and for
the new rubber-mount Sportsters. The suggested retail is $469.95 across
the board. So, are you looking for one supplier that really does have
it all? You’ll
find it at Samson. Cruising, touring, performance–you name it,
it’s here. It’s all at Drag Specialties, too, so call your
rep today.
