&N has the High-Flow air filters for all stock Harleys, but don’t stop there. There isn’t a V-twin on the road–stock, alternative or an all-out custom–that can’t have a K&N filtering its air. Take a minute and look. The full lineup of washable and reusable K&N High Flow air filters has been the industry standard for more than four decades, and K&N has what it takes to cover the V-twin market. It begins with all those stock-replacement High-Flow air-filter elements, the ones coming with a Million Mile Warranty. But that’s just the start, because K&N has lots of custom products to help a V-twin breathe.
Right along with those OE replacements K&N has High Flow filter elements for most of the aftermarket filter housings and carburetors on the market. There’s no need to settle for anything less. Any time, any application. Got an S&S carb and a classic Teardrop housing? K&N has the filter element for it. How about a Mikuni carburetor, or an Edelbrock? There are K&N High Flow filter elements for them. A Ram Air stack? You’re covered with a great selection of tapered K&N filter elements to clamp right on the business end. And have you taken a close look at those complete K&N High Flow filter-and-housing packages? You should.
K&N’s Custom Air Cleaners for Harley-Davidsons combine all that High Flow filter performance with pure custom style. These air cleaner assemblies are machined from billet aluminum, they’re polished and chrome plated and there’s a style to accent or complement just about any bike built. There are round or teardrop shapes and there are a number of different finishes like mirror, ball-grooved or flamed. They all look great, and because they’re K&N through-and-through they work great. They’ll all provide a nice horsepower bump over stock.
And check out the RK Series Filter Kits. They’re brand-new and K&N is offering the complete package right here. The RK Series Filter Kit includes that K&N High-Flow filter element and a matching free-flow backing plate and breather kit to go with it. No mismatched parts, everything fits and works together. The backing plate is constructed entirely of powder-coated billet aluminum and there’s a built-in and dyno tuned velocity stack that’s part of the design. That backing plate eliminates the need for any external breathers, too. The RK Series Filter Kits retain the stock air-cleaner cover, and there’s an included K&N laser etched “High Flow” center ring should you care to use it. The RK Series Kits are available for all 1999 through 2005 Twin Cam Harleys, with the exception of those older Magnetti-Morelli FI models. It’s a sweet package.
Don’t forget that other filter, either. A K&N Oil Filter is the perfect complement to all of this. K&N’s Harley oil filters are almost “race spec,” providing 20- to 30-percent more filtration than an OE-replacement. They use a special resin-impregnated Synthetic Media for improved filtration, better flow, less pressure drop and that Synthetic Media won’t break down filtering synthetic oils.
Performance filtration is about the best thing you can add to an engine. With all the K&N High Flow filter elements, filter kits and those K&N oil filters you can do it all. There’s absolutely no reason why a dealership can’t have a variety of K&N offerings for the customers who demand the Original High-Flow Air-Filter for their V-twin. Drag Specialties has them all in the FatBook, so check with your rep.

Don’t forget about the K&N Oil Filters too. K&N’s Harley oil filters use a special resin-impregnated Synthetic Media for improved filtration and flow and less pressure drop.
