The Mud Hook XXTreme from Bridgestone is a serious ATV tire for
just about any riding condition. Challenging terrain requires a
tough tire, and the XXTreme is just that.
ucati
Corse Team riders Loris Capirossi and Carlos Checa couldn't have
picked a better time to finish at the front of the pack. Capirossi's
decisive win and Checa's strong 4th after working his way through
the field at Motegi took place in front of all the Bridgestone executives
and engineers responsible for the tires under those two Ducatis. It
was doubly sweet because this was the first MotoGP win for an Italian
rider on an Italian bike in Japan. Ducati's Livio Suppo was ecstatic.
Not only did his riders perform flawlessly, so did the Bridgestone
race tires they used. "It's fantastic," he said. "A
dream come true!" You can read more about that race, and the
whole Bridgestone trip to Japan on page 22.
But no one has to travel halfway around the globe to witness more Bridgestone
wins this year. Right here in the U.S. Bridgestone-equipped Ricky Carmichael
with Team Makita Suzuki and Ivan Tedesco and Grant Langston with Monster/Pro
Circuit/Kawasaki each won their respective THQ/AMA Supercross Championships
for the 2005 season. This is the second consecutive year for that Bridgestone
Supercross sweep. And in the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS)
Nathan Woods riding on Bridgestones for Montclair Yamaha won races
all season long while Barry Hawk, also competing on Bridgestone tires,
won round after round in the Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC),
and not to be outdone, Bridgestone rider Russ Pearson clinched the
2005 AMA Hare & Hound National Championship.
What does all this mean? When it comes
to racing and winning, the winners, more often than not, are on Bridgestones
and that's true whether it's road racing, Supercross, ATV or Cross
Country. And what works on the track sells in the shop. Sport riders,
dirt riders, touring guys and cruisers - every rider wants performance.
And clear across the board Bridgestone has the tires that perform.
It's race proven.
Sport riders can find that Bridgestone
performance in the Battlax BT014 ultra-high performance radials. These
tires are a direct result of Bridgestone's
involvement in MotoGP. Ride, handling, grip, stability, cornering power,
shock absorptio - it's all here in spades. The BT014s also
feature Bridgestone's rubber insulated steel Mono-Spiral Belt
(MSB) construction, and all this comes in a lightweight tire significantly
reducing un-sprung weight. The Bridgestone BT002 tires take all that
one giant step further. These DOT approved Super Sport Race Radials
are built for ultra-high performance track days and road racing. They're
direct descendants of those winning Bridgestone MotoGP tires.
It's the same story in the dirt. All
the Bridgestone tires chosen by the 2005 Supercross Champions, the
M201 and M202 soft-terrain tires, the M401 and M402 intermediates and
the M601 and M602 hard terrain Bridgestones are all ready and waiting.
So are the new 90/100-21 fronts and 120/80-19 rears in the soft, intermediate
and hard-terrain applications, specifically designed for the 450cc
four-strokes. And the Bridgestone ED663/ED668 front and rear combination
will make trail and Enduro riders just as happy. These DOT approved
dual-sport tires are designed for maximum performance in soft-terrain
conditions. Everything Bridgestone has learned from years of Enduro
and Cross Country success is right here. All that's
true for the ATV applications, as well. Bridgestone's Dirt Hooks
are OE on top-line Hondas, and the new Mud Hook XXTREME is an ATV tire
able to take on just about anything, anywhere.
Don't forget about those Bridgestones
for the cruiser market, either. There are plenty of great tires here,
and the G850/G851s, introduced late last year, are really special.
They're designed for high-performance
cruising and serve up great all-around performance coupled with equally
great mileage.
Street, dirt, track or trail - Bridgestone's
got what it takes. It's called performance, and it's all available
directly through Parts Unlimited. Call your rep today.
