he Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series has reached its summer break and will be racing again as this issue hits the dealerships. Likewise, the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS), the AMA/FMF National Enduro Series and the AMA National Hare Scrambles Series have all been packed with great racing and close points battles so far this season. And FMF riders and products have been in the hunt and remain in the game for all the major titles in U.S. Off-Road racing.
Team FMF/Suzuki Off-Road was ready to come out swinging with defending 5-time GNCC Champion Rodney Smith looking for yet another title. But Smith broke his leg just before the season started and will not be in the title chase. But donÕt count Rodney out of winning some races when he comes back in September. The team has been well represented by Fred Andrews and Glenn Kearney who have racked up some podium finishes on their FMF Suzukis. Team FMF/Suzuki also took a win in the WORCS series when Mike Kiedrowski won the opener in Speedworld, Arizona aboard his FMF RM450Z.

Kawasaki with Steve Hatch, Josh McLevy, and Cole Calkins have been putting the pressure on everyone in the GNCC, Hare Scrambles and National Enduro Series. In fact, Hatch returned to the Enduro scene and scored an overall win, being one of the few riders who have beat Mike Lafferty this year.
And speaking of Lafferty, the team to beat so far this season has been Team Factory KTM Off-Road. Mike Lafferty is back to dominating the AMA FMF National Enduro Series with six victories so far and an indomitable points lead for his seventh AMA National Enduro title. Meanwhile, Juha Salminen has dominated the GNCC series by winning six of the first nine events. Juha obviously holds down a significant points lead and is looking forward to Rodney Smith's return so he can take on the champ head to head.
Team Pro-Am Yamaha Off-Road also managed a brace of GNCC victories thanks to the efforts of Barry Hawk, who has proven to be the only GNCC regular who can beat Juha.
All these guys are off-road heroes and they are winning using FMF products. Products like the Titanium Q muffler. The Ti Q has a completely new design, engineered for maximum performance while maintaining a sound level at or near 93dB on most models. It incorporates Factory Forward Engineering to move the muffler closer - centralizing the mass for improved handling characteristics. The new Hi-Flo formed end cap reduces weight and is less prone to damage. The Ti Q also features titanium construction for strength, durability and weighs less than most moto mufflers. This will be the industry standard for years to come for performance and sound.
There's a whole line-up of Q mufflers for off-roading. As the pioneer of quiet performance mufflers, FMF raised the bar again in 2005 with the second generation of Q series mufflers - the Q2. Built from the ground up, the Q2 is a completely new design, engineered for maximum performance while maintaining a sound level at or near 93dB on most models. The Q2 has all the features of the Ti Q but with an anodized aluminum canister that is lighter and quieter than the original Q, but obviously not as light as the Ti Q. All three models utilize a maintenance free USFS approved turbine type spark arrestor so there is no screen to clean or burn out. With its free flowing internal baffles and chambers, advanced sound-absorbing materials and now reduced weight, the Q2 is the market leader for low sound/high performance. As FMF likes to say, "Less sound equals more ground. Be part of the solution and take the noise out of riding, not the fun!"
FMF does it all, victories and championships in the toughest off-road racing series in America. Many of the best racers use FMF products and FMF continues to be a leader on, and off the track in the field of noise reduction with the Q series of mufflers. FMF is American made with quality American materials. FMF is a rarity today - a premium exhaust brand that owns its own factory, here in the USA, and makes its own products. See your Parts rep today to learn more about the entire line of FMF off-road exhaust systems.

The FMF Q2 is the second generation of Q Series mufflers, with a completely new design with engineering geared towards solving todayÕs noise level issues. The Q2 offers low sound, without sacrificing performance.
