oshimura has a couple new street-bike exhausts just out, and if you know anything about Yoshimura you’ll know that these new street exhausts are hot. One comes at you straight from the track, the other adds “Bling” to the performance. They’re hot performers and they’ll be hot sellers, too. The brand-new TRC System, now with a Cone-Shaped End Cap, is the exhaust used by Yoshimura/Suzuki racers Mat Mladin, Ben Spies, Aaron Yates and Jordan Motorsport stars Jason Pridmore, Steve Rapp and Montez Stewart. How’s that for a pedigree, and a virtual guarantee of winning performance? And do you have sport-riding customers asking for some flash to go with that performance? The new Yoshimura R-22 “Bling” Pipes will give it to them in spades. The R-22 comes with a dazzling chrome-plate finish combining legendary Yoshimura R&D performance with loads of street sparkle.
The big news with the Yoshimura TRC Series of exhausts for street bikes is that they feature a Cone Shaped End Cap, an end cap like the one used by the racers. The TRC System’s 16-inch muffler comes ready to accept Yoshimura’s optional TEC low-volume insert, too. That TEC low-volume insert installs in seconds; one Allen fastener located at the bottom of the muffler tip does it, and with the TEC insert in place the sound level drops by 3 to 5 decibels. Of course that TEC insert can be removed just as easily. The new cone-tipped TRC Systems are available in stainless steel, titanium and carbon fiber, and it’s those carbon fiber TRC silencers that are the winners on the racetrack.
All the TRC tri-oval mufflers, whether it’s the titanium, stainless steel or carbon fiber versions, are extremely resistant to rust and corrosion. They all do a great job of dissipating heat, too, and there’s even a stainless steel heat shield standard on the inlet portion of the mufflers. And for the 2005 GSX-R1000 Yoshimura has a full-titanium TRC system available, that new cone-tipped TRC muffler matched with a genuine Yoshimura header and mid-pipe.
And we did mention “Bling.” The super-shiny Yoshimura R-22 “Bling” Pipe for street bikes features a Cone Shaped End Cap very much like the TRC Series mufflers, but here everything is chrome plated. The whole system. The new R-22’s are dazzling. These systems feature a 14-inch muffler, and that same mounting provision is included for the optional Yoshimura TEC low-volume insert. All R-22 Bling Series exhausts also have the R-22 logo laser-etched into the outer sleeve.
Underneath all that flash those “Bling” Series exhausts are pure Yoshimura. The R-22s are available as slip-ons or full systems, everything is Tig welded; coming from Yoshimura these exhausts build power and dissipate heat, they’re extremely resistant to rust and corrosion, they have that new cone-style tip. And in a bright chrome finish they look great.
Yoshimura’s cone-tipped TRC mufflers, that full TRC titanium system for the GSX-R1000, and the new R-22 “Bling,” the ultimate flash exhaust for a sport bike, are all available now. They’re in stock at Parts Unlimited and your rep has the ordering info. Check it all out.
