A three-foot protective cover that can be slid along the rope and located as necessary provides abrasion resistance to rock edges or other sharp objects. An oversized 5/16-inch clevis hook with safety latch is installed at the end. And the Synthetic Fiber Rope also allows the use of a smaller, lighter weight, and less expensive Hawse type aluminum fairlead. Fifty feet of this unique pulling media is wound on the center mount drum of the ATV3000 winch. The center mount drum provides more even pulling force than an end mount drum, and with less chance of interference with the ATV frame or bumper. A large knob cam-action clutch allows free spooling for quick and easy rope deployment. The ATV3000 winch also features a proven and efficient 0.9-hp 12-volt DC permanent magnet motor with significantly lower current draw than competitive motors. The output planetary gear system has 50% greater gear contact surface areas than competitive winches for increased strength and durability. Six-foot six-gauge battery cables with connectors are included.
