Introduced last season, and now expanded to cover more applications, Camoplast ICE technology has been specifically engineered to provide improved safety and performance while minimizing cost, weight, clearance problems, installation labor, stud maintenance, warranty concerns, and other issues associated with conventional track studding. Camoplast ICE technology tracks utilize specially-developed lug studs that are molded right into key positions in the track profile to grab and hold on hard surfaces. This eliminates time-consuming stud installation labor while adding only ounces instead of several pounds of metal to the rotating and unsprung track. Yet performance tests prove that ICE technology tracks provide most of the traction benefit of conventionally studded tracks. And ICE Technology tracks are also covered by a two-year limited warranty. This makes them ideal for your customers who are currently not studding due to cost, bother, maintenance issues, or warranty concerns. For 2006, the new Camoplast ICE Ripper™ track brings this new traction technology to the wildly successful Rip Saw design. Featuring 256 lug studs in the 15x121-inch model, and 288 lug studs in the 15x136-inch size, this 1.25-inch tall high-performance track weighs only 0.7-pound more than an unstudded track. It combines superior Rip Saw handling and acceleration in soft and mealy snow with most of the traction benefits of 144 conventional studs for awesome traction and control in any trail conditions. The new ICE Ripper joins the original ICE Claw™, a 1.0-inch tall performance track for trail applications that features 240 lug studs in the 15x121-inch model and 270 traction points in the 15x136-inch version. Ten pounds lighter than the same track with 144 conventional studs, the ICE Claw delivers almost the same ice and hard snow traction benefits at lower cost than a conventionally studded upgrade track. The ICE Wide Track is also new for 2006. This 20x156-inch utility sled giant features 341 studs in its 1.25-inch lugs, making it the “must-have” track for ice fishermen, trappers, Arctic hunters and herdsmen, trail grooming sleds, ski centers and public safety applications.
